Can't live without them.
I'm always amazed at how much these razors cost, but when I compare to other options, I always come back to the Mach 3. I've tried electric razors, but anything that's cheaper that buying Mach 3 blades can't do a thing about shaving the hairs on my neck. I'd guess that I use a blade every month and a half (long after the lubricating strip is gone), which makes this cost...
Shaving Daily?
If you shave daily, this is for you. If you don't, and allow several days between shaves, this may not be for you. I have a heavy beard and sensitive skin, and have had a beard for 48 years. I have not found a better razor than this, however, if your stubble is more than 1/4 inch long, you may be in for a long shave time.

Paid $10 on a Gold Box sale. Definitely a good price for these lades. I usually pay $6-8 for a pack of 4 at the grocery store/pharmacy.
These are decent blades, and I like them much more than Schick blades. They clean easily, are sharp, and last a long while. In my option, the best all-around blades on the market.

My husband has a thick, dark beard and dainty, sensitive pale skin. These blades work well and don't irritate his skin. No five o'clock shadow; no razor burn. Using blades instead of disposables saves plastic and you get to hold a nice metal handle.
Perfect, huh?
Well, a straight razor is more green--it's forever if you just sharpen it, but he's not going there.

In the past I have purchased these blades as long as the seller was "Amazon.com". I've been burned by getting fakes blades when I used sellers that were not Amazon.com.
This time, I bought two 12 packs from the seller "Amazon.com" and just opened them up this morning to use and discovered they were clearly fake! It is past the date range return the blades so I am stuck with them. I thought buying from the seller "Amazon.com" would have been safe but I was wrong. Buyer beware, I recommend going to a store to buy your blades.

I bought these for my husband and thought I was saving a lot of money only to find out that the first pack was fine and the rest were bad blades. He says they do not shave well and have a glue substance on them. We just bought a pack from Target and what a difference! this is the last time I buy something like this on the internet.

Its a shame that you have to clarify whether you are buying the real product or not. These were the real thing...this time. I have gotten a pretty bad batch off Ebay once and I have heard some of the Amazon sellers are offering fakes as well. I guess a good rule is don't throw down a lot of money thinking you are getting a really good deal. Avoid buying 40 or 80 counts because if you are wrong, then you are out a ton. Also, if you get screwed on Amazon make sure you go back to the exact page you bought from and hammer them. Let people know who the bad apples are. Be careful not to smear the folks that are selling the genuine product. I think you will be ok buying from THIS seller.

I have gone back to using the Mach3 blades after switching to the Fusion for awhile. I think there is only so much noticeable improvement possible by adding blades, and the Mach3 seems to be the end of the road for me. Not only am I saving money by buying these, the blades actually seem to last longer than the Fusion blades.
Note: I edited this review to make sure I mentioned the blades I buy are the ones directly sold by Amazon.com, not by a 3rd party seller since I have no idea if the quality of their blades are the same.

I prefer my older Sensor Excel to the Mach3 when I want a close shave. I still have stubble on the chin and jaw line when I finish shaving with the Mach3. It also does not shave well on the neck area. Thumbs down for this product.

Razors are ridiculously expensive. I looked at KMart, Target, my local grocery store and even took the trek to Costco to find a good deal. This is the best deal I could find. Disposable razors just don't do the trick. I used one this morning, in desperation, and it pulled the hairs right out of my neck... PAINFUL and irritable. Mach 3 is, ultimatley worth it, and this is the best deal I could find. Reccommended, even with the shipping cost.
