i am very happy with this product. the design and the features are wonderful. my kids can use it anywhere. it comes with car charger, home charger and battery pack. it comes with usb port, sd port and av inputs. it also comes with 2 earphones. i havent had any issues playing any type of cd/dvd. Very good features, very convenient, helps on the long drives keeping my kids...
D1917PK A/V in/out
For playing DVDs and MP3 CDs the device is fine. However, the A/V input/output did not work. On output it only output sound and no video. For input it did nothing. I am returning it and trying a more expensive panasonic.

Out of all the laptops and personal video players I had, used, or borrowed, this has had the best sound quality. Children don't keep complaining that they missed something - and they need neither headphones nor audio boosters! Highly recommend.

We bought this for our son to use on long drives. We were concerned about whether or not the audio would be loud enough because he can't keep headphones on well yet. It turns out the volume is plenty loud. The picture is nothing spectacular (not super crisp), but it is bright and just fine for young viewers and those of us who aren't picky. It's easy to use.

It came very quickly and was easy to figure out. It really helped us on our long trip with two little ones. The only thing that wasen't what I expected was the battery life was too short. I charged it for a whole day before leaving and it only made it through part of a movie. I had to plug it into the car which worked fine.

Broke after 5 months of occasional use, never dropped or damaged, just died one day while watching a movie. Our last portable DVD player lasted a few years even with kids dropping it.

I purchased this very appealing DVD player from Amazon on Nov. 5, 2009 with a 90-day warranty. On March 2nd, it refused to play. Video repair service says lazer is kaput. Just out of warranty, I told them to dispose of it. No more Audiovox for me.

We purchased this product at the end of September. My daughter used it about 5 times. During the last time she was using it, the product malfunctioned for no reason. The screen was full of static, and the audio sounded like someone screaming in pain. Because the 90 warranty has expired, I am out [...]. I will never purchase from this manufacturer again.

We purchased this DVD player before going on a long road trip for Thanksgiving. Our 2 boys each got to watch movies for most of the trip and thanks to the double headsets my husband and I got to enjoy peace and quiet and uninterrupted conversations. We loved it!! We also were able to use our plug-and-play video games with this unit using the AV input feature. All the features seem to work to our satisfaction. We did have one problem with a glowing red dot on the screen. Audiovox tech support told us it was a bad pixel. The seller (Worldwide Distributors) were very responsive and helpful in this matter. They even offered to give us a full refund and pay for us to ship the item back to them. However, we didn't want to give up the DVD player since we liked it so much so we decided to resolve the issue with Audiovox warranty repair. This is a great DVD player and we got it for a fabulous bargain price on Amazon. We highly recommend it!!
