Great card, better price
The 8GB ultraII Sandisk card is a great card, but this is not new. The issue most reviewers with negative comments fret here is the packaging. The packaging is OEM, which means that it is NOT a retail package. it comes with no instructions, no fancy plastic wrapping, nothing. Just a clear case. listed as new, appears to have been reformatted
the card was listed accurately as being shipped in static packaging, but it was also listed as new. Card is named "No Name" which is not standard for a new SanDisk card. Shipping was relatively fast. Read listing carefully before you order. Seems to work OK.

Card shipped fast and was NEW (you can usually see if its been used by marks on the SD card connections).

Have had this for a very long time now, and haven't had a single issue with it. I have even used it to transfer a DVD from one computer to another. WOW

I bought this product because of being on a budget, so I was looking for a card that was of a decent size for the money.
First off I will say that I am not a big fan of Sandisk products they have not been the most reliable of product in the past, With that said I have been quite satisfied with my new sandisk up to this point.
I bought this card for my D90 as an extra card in case of needing some extra picture space. When I first took it out of the package I noticed that the hard card case that came with it was very flimsy and I pretty much just through that in a box and put the card in another case, I have no doubt I would break its storage case in a weak. I did a once over on the card and it seemed pretty good quality as far as build material, pretty much the same as any of my other SD cards. I did notice that it was a class (2) and runs at 15mb/s which is a bit slow for me running RAW format with my digital seeing as one picture could be almost as big as that.
Testing
Okay its a cheap card and so I didn't expect miracles with it, but it did surprise me. So I noticed, of course, compared to my Lexar professional series card it was a little slow, but I expected that. I recently shot a wedding and with my Lexar class (6) I could do full continuous and get about 8 - 10 shots before the camera's fire rate slowed down in order to catch up with it. With the sandisk however, I was surprised, I noticed I got half that about 4 pictures before it slowed. So I was quite impressed by this, surely expected it would take 1 or 2 shots and that be it.
Computer Transfer
When I got home that night and I transferred the photos to my computer, again comparing the cards, at this point there was no contest the lexar takes under a minute and it took a good 6-7 minutes to transfer the pictures. This is where I could see some real differences in card speed of a class (2) card over a Class (6) and even the class (4) that I have.
Overall
My camera loves the card, it is a bit slow, especially if you are shooting action I would not recommend this card I would say spend a little more and just get the faster cards, your wasting your money. for regular shooting or casual shooters that are looking for a cost effective camera card then I would say that this is a safe bet. You do get what you pay for, but for general shooting on a budget this an excellent card for that.
From one professional to another don't waste your money buy the better card, I will only be using this card if I absolutely have to, though I may use it for studio shooting and product photography. With that said I would still choose my other cards over this any time. Also keep in mind what you are shooting and what format if you shoot jpeg then it may work for you and if you don't need action shots then it may also be okay for you.
- Action shooting - a little slow
- General shooting - excellent
- RAW Shooting - Slow
- JPEG shooting - Average
- Build quality - Good (except case is crap)
- Computer transfer - Slow
Lastly I will say this that my sandisk experience has definitely improved and I would consider buying from them again.

Card came new in small plastic box. It was recognized by camera (Nikon 3000) from first second; HP laptop reads it as well; dimensions did not create a problem to fit or get out easy from any application. I'm sure it's not compatible with every electronic device or application, i.e. that you need to check if your device can take 8GB card. For example, my LG can take 1 or 2GB without a problem; 4GB should be pre-loaded for 50% with music or video; 8GB - not acceptable at all.
Remember to format it in/with devise you plan to use.

This card is great! You can't beat 8 G! My boyfriend takes a ton of pictures, and now I mind the fact that he does that a whole lot less. It's a Ultra II, so it's faster. No complaints what so ever! (PS. I have no idea why people are complaining about the packaging. Mine came in a sealed plastic container. It didn't not look used.)

I bought this memory for my Nokia N800 hand-held tablet PC. The 8 GB capacity is very refreshing. I love it. I can fit a lot of songs on it. I still have an open memory slot that I will use for a 16 GB disk when one becomes available.
