Very Nice, April 28, 2009
Great Shoe. Well Made. Took advice from one of the amazon reviews to order one half size larger than I wear so I ordered a 11.5. It was way too tight. Toe was right at the end. Did the return, which was very easy by the way. Even provided the UPS ship label for me. Taped up original box with label and dropped it off at UPS. Placed new order for a size 12 and they fit perfect. Love these shoes and so does everyone who checks them out.

~*~*~My Husband LOVES these shoes, comfy, well made~*~*~, October 21, 2009
This review is from: Simple Men's Car Tire Slip-on (Apparel)
Several years ago I got my husband the Simple Loaf Shoe that was not the off road/tire sole but basically the same shoe, they immediatly became his favorite shoes and he wore them all the time. Probably about a year later the bottoms of the shoes started showing a little wear but over a year after that the bottoms never did get any holes but the shoes were starting to show some wear and he was wanting a new pair. He had those shoes for at least 3 years.
So for his Birthday this year(sept 2009) I bought him the Simple Loaf Off Road/Tire Shoes in the Cub Color. He LOVED these shoes even better than the last ones. He can wear the shoes with just about anything, they can be somewhat dressy or completely casual. He wears them without socks if he is wearing shorts, his feet don't get sweaty & the shoes don't get stinky, they're still completely comfortable. When he wears them with pants he wears socks and they are comfortable as well.
My husband wears a size 10, the first pair I bought him were a 10 & these were a size 10 and they fit him perfectly.
If you wear these when it is wet outside the shoes may become wet & so will your feet. If it is raining more than just a little my husband usually does not wear these because of that reason BUT they are still his favorites. There is probably something you could spray on these to make them moisture resistant.

Simple Men's Slip On Loafer, July 30, 2008
Very comfy and easy to walk in. They don't come loose and the sole looks like I will enjoy long use. I would definitely purchase again later.

Beijing Olympic Warrior Shoe, August 16, 2008
This review is from: Simple Men's Car Tire Slip-on (Apparel)
Watching Olympic athletes in China, the origin country of these shoes, it makes one truly appreciate what good does come out of that country like a pair of loafers that could take on a mountain of rock. A lot of recycle does either come from or end up being processed in China including the tire outsoles of these shoes. When you consider that the US is still in dire need to get rid of many, many tires, this kind of makes sense. Between that outsole there's another recycled layer which is expanded for comfort by a recessed cutout in the heel portion of the bottom. Latex insoles is pure genius, try to get them beyond a doctors office, and we all know how much orthopedic shoes cost. Amazon was giving $15 off when I bought these making it a good value = 75.
Interestingly enough in watching the Olympics NBC had a featurette on the artist behind the Olympic logo, a truly brilliant man who spent time locked up like far too many artists. His point was that China should begin to export culture along with goods. The first pair of these I got were an example of the oddities that go along with recycled goods. One tire outsole was bald, no good on the road, on your feet. So Amazon's excellent exchange had a new pair on next day service. When I pulled out the shoes and examined the outsoles I noticed something that had been stripped by the thin rubber cut on the previous shoe. There stamped in the outsole were Chinese characters that started from the heel certainly recognizable, to the toe where they faded out and they spoke to me without understanding the translation. The meaning says "yes, these are Chinese made shoes and they're good."
