Wonderful new stroller!, June 14, 2008
This review is from: Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller - Seagrass (Baby Product)
I just got this stroller a few days ago and so far I love it. My daughter is 2 1/2 and loves to ride in it. She has plenty of room and loves playing peek a boo with her brother (11 weeks) next door. My son seems happy when we walk. I have only put him in the seat on our walks but I did test it out with my carseat in the store and it is an easy feature to install. I love that on the back of each shade is a big pocket( which closes) that can hold your stuff (cell phone, camera, keys....). The basket below is big and looks like it will do the job. I have only put a few things in it so far. It is easy to access and isn't blocked like some strollers.
I have only have found 2 "cons" so far. In the reclined position and the sunshade all the way forward, it still doesn't block the sun from getting in my son's face. I will have to get a sunshade since we live in the south but that isn't a big deal. It works great if the carseat is insalled.
Second, it does not fold compactly. It takes up most of the back of my Envoy. It is hard to pick up and put it in the car but I am not totally back in shape from having the baby. I know once I get stronger and load/unload it a few times it will be easier.
All the parents in the neighborhood have given me tons of compliments on my new stroller. We are the first to have 2 kids so they are definately checking it out for future reference.
You can check out the picture I added.

Look before you buy this BumbleRide Indie Twin Stroller, April 27, 2010
This review is from: Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller - Seagrass (Baby Product)
Well this has been another one of many items that I researched to no end. So here is my Opinion. We have a 2 1/2 and a new one on the way. First of all, I really wanted to get this stroller because of all the little features and slightly smaller in length. It was this or a BOB Stride. I read all the reviews on BOB, which are always far better than all other strollers. Just search the stroller category for double stroller here on Amazon. Anyway the reviews for the Bumbleride stroller looked good considering it is a new stroller for 2009. So we went down to look at the Bumbleride and they had the BOB Stride there too. After looking at the two side by side here is what I liked about the Bumbleride; the seats laid almost flat, the cool styling and colors, the lower storage was a bit bigger and easier to get to and it was much shorter front to back. Here is what is did not like; the seat adjustment was a little difficult with our daughter in it, not quite as easy to push as the BOB, the suspension was just a rubber bushing and not very much give, once folded the latches that hold it closed latch, but if try to lift it using the handle the latches pop off and the stroller starts to unfold, which limits you to where you can grab the stroller when putting it in a vehicle, Not good. Every time I made an adjustment whether it was the adjustable handle or the leg rest, I could not get over how cheap it felt. After looking closely at it I noticed that there was so much plastic on this thing. I went to set the parking brake and I felt as if I was going to snap it off at some point. Where the rear wheels connect to the frame and where the suspension sits, is all plastic. This is a major stress point and it is plastic?? The wheels are plastic also. As much as I wanted to convince my wife to get the Bumbleride, I couldn't even convince myself. I don't mind spending this kind of money on a product, but quality has to come before anything else. I refuse to pay almost $700 for a stroller that is full of plastic. I think Bumbleride needs to lower their profit margin and start using more light weight metal. We ended up getting the BOB. It was like comparing a bike from Toys R Us to a bike from a pro bike shop. I think you get the picture. I Know you Bumbleride owners will not like my assessment, but I really wanted it to go the other way. Hey just go and compare the Bumbleride to a BOB and you will see, or just take close look at a Bumbleride construction and decide for yourself. Onee more thing the bob is 30.8" wide and this is 29.5" that is only 1.3" wider. Like I said you decide.
If you think a review about comparing quality and looking at products before buying is not helpful, then maybe you should not be reading this. Yes, Metal it stronger than plastic. :)

Best double stroller!!, November 13, 2008
This review is from: Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller - Seagrass (Baby Product)
This is the best stroller ever, I love it, and I did quite a bit of research before deciding to purchase thhe bumbleride indie twin, but I am so happy with my decision. My 2 year old son loves this stroller and he has plenty of room to move, and with the leg rest that goes up or down it makes naps much more comfy. my 4month old rides in it with the car seat which is wonderful and hard to find on an all terrain side by side. This stroller has gone everywhere with my family and I constantly get stopped on the street for questions and compliments on such a great stroller. People are amazed that it actually does fit through all doorways an has amazing steering I can steer one handed with both children in it. The only thing is that it is big it doe tak up about 80% of the trunk of my subaru forrester. But i suppose for all the pros that is ok by me. i hope this review helps someone out there. It really is a great and beautiful stroller, very well made.

LOVE THIS STROLLER!, October 8, 2009
This review is from: Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller - Seagrass (Baby Product)
I have owned 4 double strollers and the Indie Twin is by far the best. Take into account that it is a double stroller so yes it is a bit heavy and a bit big to store. I can manage to lift it up just fine into the back of my Suburban and I still have more than enough room for groceries. I have seen a few complaints about the seats being narrow. I am 5"3' 100 lbs and I can sit in these seats just fine so I'm sure any child will make do. It is very easy to fold up however the latches they put on to lock it while folded do not work very well. As soon as you pick it up they pop off. I just got a little bungy cord and it seems to do the trick. Unfolding it is a little difficult because you have to hold the handle with one hand while you pull the bottom out from underneith. After a few uses you kind of get the hang of it. I have fit in and out of every door way including my house door! Even with the infant car seat adapter in. This stroller almost pushes itself. It just glides right over grass, dirt, gravel you name it. It also turns on a dime with little effort. It was well worth the money!

Twin Mommy Blogger (AndTwinsMake5) reviews Bumbleride Indie Twin, May 15, 2010
This review is from: Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller - Seagrass (Baby Product)
My goal of this review was to determine if the Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller was a good stroller option for twins. I want you to know that this was a particulary difficult item to review, as I fully understand how important this purchase can be. Let's face it, picking the right twin stroller is one of the biggest gear decisions a twin mommy must make. And with the economy the way it is, most families simply can't afford to make the wrong choice.
To aid in my decision, I literally stopped using any other strollers I owned on the spot and immediately only used this Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller from the day it arrived. I took it everywhere, when weather was acceptable the twins and I walked to school to pick up the older kids. We went to muddy wet football games, grandma's house, countless stores, honestly you name it and this stroller was at it with us.
I feel we really utilized nearly every feature to the fullest too. We used the included rain hood to keep out the pouring rain, we used the two separate sun hoods to keep out the glaring sun. We tested the ease and usability of the single push button 5 pt. harness when siblings placed the twins in and took the twins out. We plopped it into and took it out of our two vehicles countless times, folding and unfolding it in the process.
So, what do I think?
The verdict is, this is a terrific stroller for twins. I'm a HUGE fan of the Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller and my biggest regret is that I didn't find it sooner. In fact, I am listing my other strollers on Craigslist today.
When I was pregnant with the twins, I was very hung up on finding a stroller that could take two infant car seats, but failed to truly grasp that this need to place two infant car seats in a stroller is a very short lived need. My twins were way too heavy for me to manage in those seats by the time they were 6-7 months old. If you are a twin mommy who is counting this stroller out solely because it can only take one infant seat, you should take another look.
(As a side note, I'd highly suggest picking up one of those snap and go style frames for those first few months. Check Ebay, Craigslist, or your local twins group for a gently used one. You'll rarely find a need for a stroller that takes two seats beyond the Dr.'s office and an occasional quick trip to the store.)
Instead, you'll want to invest in a stroller that can go the long haul with you and your little ones. The Bumbleride Indie Twin can take your twins around the block and beyond from day 1 and will continue to be your "go to" stroller until your kids reach 45 lbs. each. I love how, unlike other double strollers in this category, the Bumbleride footrests can be adjusted to different heights, including being brought all the way up to keep an infant extra snug and safe.
Additionally, I felt the Bumbleride was much easier to fold then the stroller I previously used. Plus it has little clamps to hold it shut while you hoist it into the car by the provided handle. At 34 lbs., I wouldn't say it was "light" but after lugging around my two 17 month olds all the time, this stroller was completely manageable for me to place in the car with ease.
Worth noting is the fact that the Bumbleride Indie Twin stroller fit in the back of my Buick Enclave without me needing to fold down the third passenger row. This was crucial to me as I have 5 kids and need all 3 rows down for us to travel together. There was even room left over for other items. The Bumbleride Indie Twin stroller also fit in the back of my husband's Lincoln Navigator without any seat adjustments too.
Pushing this stroller was a total delight. It handles beautifully and has the option of allowing the wheels to move 360 degrees or locking the wheels inline. Twin moms should not forget how important it is to find a stroller that can handle a multitude of terrain. It was essential I find a stroller that allowed me to strap my adventuresome twosome in and push them over the traffic lined Chicago curbs and threw the mucky soccer fields with ease. Those tiny wheeled strollers may work fine in a ramped mall but forget about those things when your heading off to most of the places my crazy life takes me.
Shoppers can rejoice, the basket is generously sized too. And of course, in my opinion it looks like a million bucks in the Seagrass Green color I selected. It's also available in Lava (black), Ruby (red), Spice (orange) and Vita (pink).
Other fabulous features include a multi-adjustable handle that can extend from 32-45" high. Plus, it has a removable rear canopy panel. This feature provides air flow in the seat area for warmer days as well as allowing the canopy to pull forward more for added sun coverage which is awesome. The one step rear brake and easy slide backrest adjuster work wonderfully too.
Anything I didn't like? The cupholder was basically useless. It installs on the side which means it makes the stroller wider. The stroller fit any doorway without issue during my testing, until I put that silly thing on. My advice? Leave the cup holder in the box and buy one of those fabulous stroller add-on thingies to accommodate your drinks. I also felt the tiny pad by the bottom harness buckle came on and off too easy. It was falling off frequently when I folded the stroller, so we just took it off.
Is this stroller for twins only? Absolutely not! Anyone with two toddlers, a toddler and a baby, or even a baby and another on the way will LOVE this Bumbleride Indie Twin. Clearly I am not the only one who thinks this is a wonderful stroller either, the Bumbleride Indie Twins is a 2009 iParenting and Nappa Award Winner.
How awesome would this be to find under your tree? Here's a link to help you find a local or online dealer, perhaps you can even find a holiday sale.
I want to thank the Bumbleride Company for allowing this mommy of 5, including now 17 month old twins, the opportunity to review their fantastic double stroller. I appreciate you not only sending it to me, but you allowing me to really take my time and get to know the "ins and outs" of the Bumbleride Indie Twin before fully posting.

Great double stroller for siblings, May 5, 2010
This review is from: Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller - Seagrass (Baby Product)
I love this stroller. I have a 4 week old and a 23 month old and this is so far our only double stroller. We have taken it for walks to the river - over curbs, over grass, on the bikepath. We have taken it to the mall (it fits in the back of my minivan just fine). We have taken it to the stip mall - it fits fine through regular store doors.
I am using my Graco Snugride 35 infant seat for the newborn and it fits great (the Lowry pattern matches nicely). The seat attaches to the infant bar (included with stroller purchase) and then a strap attaches across the bottom for added security. I havent yet tried to put my newborn in the stroller without the infant seat, but I have practiced setting it up in the bassinette style and it seems very cozy and safe. My toddler likes riding in his side - and even likes to wear the straps. He is big for his age and fits quite nicely in the seat, and straps. The ride is nice and smooth - even with both kids & the infant seat its not too heavy to push, and still turns on a dime.
I LOVE the fact that the handle bar is adjustable. I am 5'10" and this is the first stroller I have ever owned that my feet don't kick the bottom when I walk. My 11 year old daughter adjusts the handle down when she pushes and its simple enough for her to do herself.
Folding the stroller is easy - however one side of my stroller is harder to release than the other. I was able to lift this into the back of my minivan by myself - but a smaller person my have more difficulty - it is still big.
A downside is the "cup holder" provided is worthless and falls off all the time. I bought a generic 'double stroller organizer' to attach to the handle bar and it works fine. Also there is not a cupholder included for the riders of this fabulous stroller. I would like to see something that could attach - but my son can hold his cup okay so its not a deal breaker. The tires - while providing a nice ride and great turning - got punctured on our 2nd walk by tackweeds. My husband added slime to the tires and that has pretty much fixed that problem.
If you are on the fence about this stroller - I say go ahead and get it! The pros - the great ride - the feeling of quality - far outweigh my complaints with the cupholders.
UPDATE:
I use this stroller several times a week and have used the bassinette feature several times. Its easy to adjust the footrest & fabric to the bassinette, and my son seems to be just as comfortable in there as in his carseat.
Additionally I have "offroaded" with the stroller now several times - the locking mechanisms on the front tires work great. They are secure, and the stroller pushes much better over rocks, gravel & grass.

Excellent Double Stroller, November 4, 2009
This review is from: Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller - Seagrass (Baby Product)
This is an amazing stroller! After owning EIGHT strollers including high end ones such as Phil and Teds Vibe and the Bugaboo Cameleon, this one tops them all. We had a great experience with our Bugaboo for our first child but when number two came, the beloved Bugaboo was obsolete. But we still wanted the feel of the Bugaboo. I had heard of the Phil and Teds Vibe and was excited but once I got it, it was such a pain in the butt to use. I got rid of it and got my 8th and final stroller, the Bumbleride Indie Twin. There are so many wonderful videos and reviews of this stroller online and I looked at them all. This stroller is around $659 and it was worth every penny. It's cheaper than the Bugaboo and the Phil and Teds Vibe. I was soooo happy when it arrived and was able to put it together by myself in less than half an hour. I purchased Seagrass which was absolutely beautiful. The stroller glides wonderfully and it handles so lightly you would never know it was a double. It does fit through my front door way and I have no problems with it at the mall or stores. Funny thing though people forget to mention is when they go through the parking lot, you can't squeeze through cars anymore since this is a double. Not a problem though, a little extra walking never hurt anyone. It's easy to fold and at 34 lbs it's not too bad. I thought it would be heavy but when you're using it, you're not really feeling the weight. The storage basket is gigantic! I also bought the snack trays and they are handy. The infant adapter is easy to use but if you do have the larger Graco Safeseat like I do, it does tend to be a little wider. The brake is easy to use. The only con if there is one, is that the 2009 locks, are really not that great. They are hard to get on and pretty much just little plastic pieces that don't look like the quality matches the rest of the stroller. That didn't stop me from giving this stroller all 5 stars! It's not hard to lift into the car without locking. I thought it was going to be a little snug in my 2009 Highlander but it fit wonderfully with lots of room leftover. Fantastic stroller and would recommend over and over again. I will not be needing another stroller for a long, long time.

Love the stroller, September 5, 2009
This review is from: Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller - Seagrass (Baby Product)
I got this stroller for my twins and love it. It's easy to push and turn. It is not compact when folded and is heavier, but these things can be overlooked. The one thing that does bother me, but it's true for all side by sides is that you can only put one car seat in it. To remedy this we bought a snap and go for while they are in their infant seats. When we use the stroller we put them both directly in the stroller, or one in the front pack and our 3 year old will hitch a ride in it. Overall this is a well made product and is really beautiful as well. I highly recommend it.

LOVE IT - One Hand steering in a Double!!!!, August 7, 2009
This review is from: Bumbleride Indie Twin Stroller - Seagrass (Baby Product)
I love this stroller! I have had it for 18 months and my daughters are 3 years and 16 months old I am expecting a third baby in about a month and I can not ask for a better stroller. The company is great if you have a problem just call them and they will immediately send you a replacement part no questions asked. my rear tire valve got a split in it after about 14 months use and they sent me an entire new tire to just pop back in to replace the other tire. Great customer service. I recommend this stroller to everyone. It is the easiest to push I wanted a stroller that I could push and steer with one hand and this one is great! large basket underneath and very sturdy yet pretty lightweight considering it is a double stroller with inflatable tires. The individual seat adjustment is perfect for children of different ages and it has the largest sun canopy that I have seen on a stroller. It never tips backwards when I hook 2 diaper bags on the handle great balance. The only complaint that I have is that they do not make it for 3 children! If you want a stroller that you will love - then you need to buy this one - I absolutely love it!
