Obagi works well
Got this for my wife. It does a great job against Acne. Initially, it'll dry out your skin and you'll need to stay out of the sun. She reduced the interval a bit due to the dryness. She seems to spend about 20 minutes each wash with this product, which is more than other products. If you stick with it, you older skin will shed off and new better looking skin will...

TRY SOMETHING ELSE!!!
I foolishly decided to purchase this product after meeting with an aesthetician that kept raving about this system and convinced me to purchase it. I have been dealing with acne for at least 10 years and hoped i would grow out of it, but im in my 20's and nothing's changed. this system is similar to others that are out there like Proactiv and Neutrogena. grrreat, July 23, 2008
I'm in my late 20's and suffer adult acne after I stopped taking oral birthcontrol. This is the only acne treatment kit that worked for me and my skin is not that sensitive. I tried the Murad kit and it SCARRED my face with zits (made it worse). Obagi cleared my face so much that I rarely get breakouts and when I do get them, they are not the same anymore, they're not cystic and heals really really fast. I alternate it with a milder, drugstore wash and gylcolic acid serum because it will really dry out your face if used everyday. I only use it once a day, every other day. I left one star for the price.

this stuff saved my skin, February 16, 2009
I was on the verge of using accutane, one of the most powerful acne medications until my friend told me about this product. It saved my skin. I haven't had a pimple since using this.

TRY SOMETHING ELSE!!!, November 26, 2008
I foolishly decided to purchase this product after meeting with an aesthetician that kept raving about this system and convinced me to purchase it. I have been dealing with acne for at least 10 years and hoped i would grow out of it, but im in my 20's and nothing's changed. this system is similar to others that are out there like Proactiv and Neutrogena. No special ingredients that justify the price either. The serum gel is the worst part...the pump doesn't work and i had to spend extra time every night just trying to get the stuff out of the bottle. Also it changed consistency and color after a few months and began burning and turned my skin extremely red (I checked and it is not expired so i have to idea what happened) I DID NOT notice ANY improvement after starting this treatment and I stayed with it for a couple of months, all it did was dry out my skin!!!

Works great for me, November 11, 2008
Great results! I think this system is definitely worth trying. I initally bought some from my dermatolgist this summer because they were having a sale and after using it for just a few weeks, I thought my skin looked so much better. BUT, at first, I wasn't sure if it was the product or just that my skin is usually better in the summer; however, once I ran out and tried something else for a few weeks, I could tell a huge difference. I started with this system again and I can honestly say that it has made my skin much clearer and my pore size has reduced. It also has drastically reduced any PMS breakouts. I know that when you have bad skin, you try everything and I know this is a little more expensive, but I really feel it has worked wonders for me. My tips: I usually apply a moisturizer at night after step 3 has dried and I only use step 3 in the evening.

It works!, September 13, 2008
I've tried everything for my mild/moderate acne. I've had every over the counter product plus Proactiv with only some relief. I went to a dermotologist and a 'skin care consultant' and they both recommended this product. They both said the type of benzoyl peroxide used in this product is far superior as gets down deeper into the pours and doesn't sit on the top layer of the skin like other treatments. I was hesitant over the price and was doubtful that it would be worth the high cost -- we've all heard the same pitches before! So I gave it a shot, and found it was definitely worth it. It does dry out my skin a lot so I only use it at night with a gentle cleanser and a good moisterizer in the morning.

T.G.I.C (Thank God It's Clenziderm), September 6, 2008
I've started getting acne at age 14 when I was in High School and it's been a recurring problem ever since. I'm going on 23 now. I tried almost every acne treatment in stores and nothing seemed to work. Proactiv seemed to work for a short period, but I'm guessing my skin got used to that product because after a short period of time, I began breaking out again. So, I finally decided to see a dermatologist for my acne problem and he recommended clenziderm. I started using it and my acne started to clear up within a week! I have oily skin, so he recommended the "normal to oily skin" step system, BUT he replaced the 3rd step from the "normal to oily skin" system, and gave me the 2nd step from the "dry to normal" skin step system. The only problem was that it did dry out my skin after the first week, and my skin began to get a little red and flakey. If this happends just decrease the dosage and it'll be fine. I highly recommend this product if you've had a problem with acne. It is a little pricey, but its worth it!

The only thing that works!!, June 13, 2008
I love this product. I have been using it for 5 weeks. I have hormonal acne and I noticed clearer skin in 2 weeks. I forgot to use it one night and the next day I had a big zit on my chin. It is almost gone in 2 days though.
My pores seem to be getting smaller and my skin is more bright not dull! I had high expectations as I do with every product I try but this one really works and I'm suprised. At first I did not like the smell or the tingling and burning sensation on my face but I stuck with it and so happy I did.
I have ordered the rest of the obagi system because I have heard great things about it and now I trust the brand. You should try this product.Beautiful clear skin is worth the price tag.

It's OK, but not worth the money, December 29, 2008
I had occasional breakouts on my cheeks, forehead, and chin before starting this product. The Clenziderm system doesn't necessarily treat pimples, but it does prevent new pimples pretty well. However, it made my previously oily skin very dry; my skin went from one extreme to another. I have rough patches on my cheeks, and I have to slather on moisturizer just to soothe my skin. The texture of my skin has changed dramatically. Overall, it serves the purpose of preventing pimples, but I do not believe that it is worth the money at all.

Very pleased so far!, July 11, 2008
I am also a huge fan of reviews so I hope this helps someone! I just received this product and started using it 2 days ago. I have had acne troubles for many years and have been on accutane 3 times as well as antibiotics and many topical treatments. I was previously using Proactiv with fair results, but it was the only regimen outside of accutane that helped. I have always had very oily skin, and that's why I chose the normal to oily Clenziderm. I wanted to try the Nuderm line but it was more expensive and didn't seem like it would target my acne. I am a big fan of multiple step systems and I feel that they are the most effective treatment for all with acne. I am very pleased so far with the Clenziderm. It leaves my skin dry, but that is nothing new to me. I use the whole system at night and wash in the morning with Clean and Clear Continuous Acne wash which is very gentle. I don't wear much makeup but I think I might continue using my Proactiv oil control under my make-up, just to have some protection on in the day time. It has reduced my pore size already and I can tell an improvement in my skin tone. My only negative comment is that it makes my skin very dry, however I would rather have dry skin that I can moisturize opposed to oily skin that I can't control. I try to use as little moisturizer as possible since it has always made my skin oily and break out (even the oil free ones). The smell of the product is nothing to complain about; the last step smells the least attractive, but it doesn't bother me that bad. I do think this product was worth the money and that it will last a decent amount of time if only used once a day. When I run out I might switch to the normal to dry system, but I will definitely stay with Clenziderm and throw out all of my old products. I think it's definitely worth a try, especially for those with oily skin.
