Want something equal to or better than an ipod, 1/2 the cost?
One of the best not an ipod mp3 ever! The Sandisk Sansa Fuze has well over the potential to stop the ipod dead in its tracks. Only problem is its not popular enough. So to prove the extream slimilarities to the ipod here are some comments:
-The 4g ipod:$149,the 4g sansa fuze: under $99,(Sansa's advised price is $99),coming in many more colors and just gray...

Can't play video
This device is attractive, the size of a credit card and came with the usb connector, earphones, a little pouch and software for rhapsody (and audible offers).
What I don't like - CAN'T PLAY VIDEO. Don't advertise mpeg4 when in reality, 100mb sansa software is required to convert file formats. Everything else is drag and drop, but VIDEO is problematic...

-Doesnt have a touch wheel, but has a turning wheel.(personal preferance)
-Dont need itunes so you can just get songs and videos from the internet (or windows media player)
-Full color screen and no differnece in menus, you can see the album cover, next son and everthing.
-Can pick up FM radio stations and favorite the ones you like.
-Has a voice recorder(to help remeber those sudden ingenius ideas!)
-You can also record the radio, so if you know u luike the upcoming son you can record it and save a bit of money!
Overall you can see that ipods aren't the only cool multi media, portalble devices out there! So if you dont have enough money to get a fancy smacy ipod and buy all you songs for a dollar a piece and videos for more(the majoriy of us!) this is a very good and reliable product.
Five stars

I've owned mine for a month now, and it's great. My sister's both have ipods and they're jealous about the idea of being able to add more space onto it. Also, it works as a voice recorder, and u pick up fm stations off it too. To me it's better than ipod, although it's not a cool looking.

So far so good. Just bought this yesterday and I'm liking it. I didn't use the headphones that came with the player. It's very small and lightweight. Don't know how long the battery will last. I'm used to the wall outlet battery which you can use in this player as well but it doesn't come with an electrical plug in, you'll have to buy that extra. I had a dell digital jukebox that lasted for 4 years before the battery started to give so I'm not sure of the life of the battery for this product. the sound is crisp and clear and it's easy to use. No software download required, just drag and drop music files. I subscribe to Rhapsody to go and it's great and compatible to drop files from Rhapsody into sansa. Make sure you've updated your windows media player to 10 or 11 for the sansa and to use Rhapsody to go. (you don't have to use Rhapsody to go with this player.
It has a radio which I like because this will get me back into the habit of listening to the radio, works fine too. Overall I like this. I didn't want an Ipod but was looking for a relatively inexpensive Mp3 player that had a good sound. I like this one. Still too new to tell how it will last in the long run as I only got it yesterday. I think it holds up to 2000 songs and you can add a scan disc memory card to increase the storage capacity even more. You can view video, pictures and record your voice on this player as well. Overall it seems to offer a lot for less than 100 bucks. Not bad. And easy to use. I was up and using it in no time, didn't require a lot of set up.

If this problem is solved, and you're not alarmed that it's made in China, then this may be the best mp3 player for the price.

This is just very user freindly. It was the best player available and with all of the features it was a no brainer. It is easier than some of my freinds I-pods. Getting songs is easy on line. With the extra 8 gb it is an excellant value. I like it a lot. It will cost you a lot less on songs because you dont have to buy each song seperately. You don't have to pay a dollar for each song like on I-tunes. I like how it is easier to scroll through all the songs rather than on an i-pod. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants something to play music, be able to view their pictures and is easy to carry. Thank You.

Best bang for your buck! Very nicely built, you can feel the sturdiness when you hold it. Comes with all of the feature you should expect in an mp3 player (except for ipods): MP3/video/photo playback, MicroSD expansion slot for extra memory, voice recording, FM tuner w/ recording, ability to delete songs directly from MP3 player. Sound is as good as, if not better than, most MP3 players. Video playback is alright, but if you want to watch full-length movies on your MP3 player I'd go with a bigger screen. The only con that I can think of is the Fuze uses a proprietary dock connection instead of the more convenient miniUSB.
Overall though, the Sansa Fuze is an amazing little MP3 player that should be on your "watch list".

I received this for Christmas and have loaded and played plenty of music. The sound quality is terrific and the additional graphic equalizer is another great addition. The inclusion of a MicrSD expansion slot is another positive move by the designers. I have always had great luck with products from SanDisk and this is just another reason I will continue to purchase their products. My only caveat is that the loading of video files is painful for the most part. I have succeed in loading a few small snippets of video but have failed completely to upload a movie file that was created for this purpose, even with the Sansa transfer software. If they could fix this issue I think that this would be a top seller.

I bought this as a gift, I own an 8gb Fuze. Very easy unit to use and set up, change music, add videos/picures and I love having the FM radio as an option. However the micro SD slot while a great thought in concept is not all that easy to use, so I don't. Other than that it's a nice little unit for a reasonable price, would definitely purchase again

I picked it up at officedepot for $60, it comes with about 20 songs and batteries charged full so you can start right the way. While at officeDepot, i also picked up a 8GB microSD for $15...
It has voice recorder, FM radio which you can also record, 1.9" color screen... battery life is also awesome
I am registered with rhapsody togo, for $15 a month I can store unlimited songs and channels to my Fuze ... I won't own these songs but if there's something I like I can Purchase them ON my FUZE.. I get charged the next time I synchronize it with my PC...pretty awesome huh..

I didn't want to pay 99 cents a song, so I wanted a Napster compatiable player. It works great with napster, the tracks transfer quickly and the sound quality is great. If you don't want to use napster you can drop tracks on it from windows explorer. The interface easy to use, I still haven't read the directions. I love the FM radio. You get a lot for a little price. PLUS you can expand the memory with the Micro SD slot. It's a great bargin.
