Love the 2 inch memory foam topper
When I purchased the Soft Sleeper 5.5 Twin XL 2 inch Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Pad, Bed Topper, I wasnt sure if the 2 inch would be adequate. But, my husband is a slight person at about 165lbs.
I didnt tell him I had purchased this as a gift to him. He had been really complaining about the mattress pad I had on the bed for him, for months. He had taken a...

What does the 5.5 mean?
I purchased the memory foam topper believing that the number 5.5 prominently displayed in the picture refers to the density of the mattress in pounds per cubic foot, as it does in other descriptions on Amazon and other websites. Higher numbers refer to higher density mattresses, which feel firmer but last longer. I should have been suspicious because nowhere in the...

Love the 2 inch memory foam topper, January 29, 2009
When I purchased the Soft Sleeper 5.5 Twin XL 2 inch Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Pad, Bed Topper, I wasnt sure if the 2 inch would be adequate. But, my husband is a slight person at about 165lbs.
I didnt tell him I had purchased this as a gift to him. He had been really complaining about the mattress pad I had on the bed for him, for months. He had taken a trip and when he returned home I had put the topper on the bed. He KNEW it was different from the time he sat on the bed. He was so happy with the change, said he laid his head on the pillow and never moved all night! That was six wks ago, and still very happy with the Memory foam mattress pad.

All Sleep-An honest company, July 27, 2009
We recently ordered a Soft Sleeper 5.5 Twin XL for our grandaughter who is starting college this fall. We received the item as advertised and checked to make sure we were happy with the product. The product is finely made and will provide her with many good nights of sleep. By mistake, my daughter forgot we ordered the product and used my account with Amazon to order another set. In fact, since we use one click, she pressed it twice and received another 2 sets of the product. When I called the company, they understood our mistake and were willing to send me shipping labels to send the product back and will credit our Amazon account. This indicates to me that this company will be in business for many years to come and I know we will be ordering other products rom them over the years. Thank you All Sleep.

My son is very happy with this, November 1, 2009
Bought this for my son's Twin XL college dorm bed as the mattresses tend to be fairly thin and a little worse for the wear. He's very happy with it and we got a great price as well.

A great nite's sleep for a bargain, August 27, 2009
This was half the cost of many we looked at in stores. Extremely comfortable according to my college kid... who is very picky!

What does the 5.5 mean?, January 5, 2010
I purchased the memory foam topper believing that the number 5.5 prominently displayed in the picture refers to the density of the mattress in pounds per cubic foot, as it does in other descriptions on Amazon and other websites. Higher numbers refer to higher density mattresses, which feel firmer but last longer. I should have been suspicious because nowhere in the description of the mattress topper does it actually say what the number means or what the density is.
At a density of 5.5 pounds per cubic foot I had expected the mattress topper to weigh over 19 pounds for an extra-long twin size; its easy to calculate: density (in pounds/cubic foot) x length x width x thickness (all measured in inches)/1728. The box with the mattress I received together weighed about 7 pounds. I didn't remove the mattress topper from the box because I know how difficult it is to get it back in, so I don't know if it's comfortable; other reviewers seem to like it.
When I called the company, I was told that they do not provide density ratings for their mattresses and that the number 5.5 refers to a "comfort rating." I think they could be a lot clearer in describing their product. The woman I spoke with at the company was very nice and, to their credit, they are paying the return shipping.

Good value, December 18, 2009
Mattress pad wasn't quite 2 inches thick, and slightly shorter than described, but it still worked out well. Good bargain.

very good for 2 inch, February 21, 2010
I purchased this for a relative on the road who has hip pain. It was a big help. Obviously, thicker memory foam will work better. However, any amount of memory foam will help those with joint pain and will also help prevent pressure sores during times of recuperation -- take note of that if you ever have a relative you are caring for!

Memory-Foam 2" Pad, January 30, 2010
...I am in my mid-60's...Still love to camp, but due to a replacement hip and a few damaged disks in my spine..sleeping on the ground in a tent is no longer comfortable for me...so for the last decade I have slept in my Dodge-Minivan, using a standard-sized mattress...but that was wearing out...so decided to upgrade...
...I am using this pad in conjunction with a very large cot and sleeping bag, and have placed it in an old quilt sandwich configuration on the cot...holding it all in place with some light elastic cords...
...It turns out to be Very comfortable!...Much more so than an actual mattress...and I found I tossed less and had to change positions a lot less during the night...and now I am just sorry I didn't do this years earlier!
...The pad came boxed well and in a short amount of time after I placed the order...so I am very pleased with both the pad and the manufacturer..and would highly recommend both!
..Plus...I checked local sources and online..and this was a very good price as well!

not worth it, December 18, 2009
the 2" actually squishes down to 2mm if you weigh more than a 20lb baby. Disappointed at the cost per function aspect.
