well I fractured my knee and couldn't get around because I have a son who is handicapped and is in a wheel chair so crutches were out of the question and a regular wheel chair didn't work because my son is in one so a friend sugested to get a scooter to get around and it was wonderful since my son requires 24 hr care and that is a lot of moving around so the scooter was great! Get through doorways easily and is easy to manuver.
