You Have To Get One.
My mom bought me this figure for my birthday (which is today) and I love it. The Auto-Spin conversion is a very nice feature. He says two phrases in robot mode. He says "My Name is Optimus Prime" and "Bring it On". Sorry the Headmaster doesn't fit on him. I have been wanting this figure forever. Ever since I first saw pictures of the prototype online I couldn't wait to...

Roll Out Optimus Prime
Good toy but it is expensive for what you get. There are only 3 phrases, the transform sound, the diesel engine sound, battle sounds and the emergency siren sound that the toy makes, and for the price he should say more or be programable in some way. The "Hat" that has the red and blue lights in it is easy to knock off and when the toy is in "Vehicle" mode the front...

Overall great toy, some minor dissatisfaction, August 4, 2008
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Transformers Animated Supreme - Roll Out Command Optimus Prime (Toy)
First off, I love this line of Animated transformers toys. Much more durable and easier to transform (fewer joints and pieces that fall off, IMO). They seem to be made with kids in mind, for a change.
The Optimus figure is cool enough. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the style of the semi that he turns into, but it's true to the animated series, so I can't fault the toy. Shelling out $50 for a toy, though, entitles me to gripe a bit about a couple of things that annoyed me:
1) within a day, his mouth plate stopped moving when you activate his sounds in robot mode. I replaced the batteries and find that I have to align the torso just right to get any wiggle at all out of his mouth, so my kid already says "he's broken".
2) The axe is cool and all, but it's heavy. I find his arm can only support the weight of it in one particular pose, or it gets all floppy and falls to his side.
3) it's pretty annoying to have to spin the torso half-a-dozen times to transform him into the truck. I understand the point was to make the truck-to-robot transformation cooler/easier, but it stinks going the other way.
A bit nit-picky, but again, you charge me $50 for a toy, and it better be right!
All-in-all, a nice, durable figure. MUCH easier to deal with than the Movie Optimus. These seem to be designed for kids to actually play with instead of just looking at them on a shelf.
Looking forward to the Ultra Magnus figure!

Roll Out Optimus Prime, January 8, 2009

The "Hat" that has the red and blue lights in it is easy to knock off and when the toy is in "Vehicle" mode the front wheels dont stay "locked" in the correct place. Overall, My kid is very imaginative and he loves the toy despite the things I have mentioned above. He thinks it is cool just because It's Optimus Prime and it is probably the only Transformer that he can fully operate without "grown up" assistance due to the spin and transform feature.

grandson will be sooooo surprised, December 18, 2008
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Transformers Animated Supreme - Roll Out Command Optimus Prime (Toy)
i watched this toy go up and down in price and at 2 am i decided not to wait any longer. my youngest grandson wanted this toy so badly, he asked santa for it.....gramma bought it instead. he had asked me for it at least three months ago.
i am so happy to have found amazon.com. their prices are good, and the shipping is fast. i have never been disappointed with anything that i have gotton. i order bakugan for the 7 year old, when no one else had any, and if they did the price was way out of wack for such a plastic toy. amazon had it at what i thought was a more reasonable price, i have ordered twice in 2 months, once for birthday, and one for christmas.
thank you for helping me with everything....

He's huge!, December 11, 2008
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Transformers Animated Supreme - Roll Out Command Optimus Prime (Toy)
This is one of the biggest Optimus Prime figures I have ever seen. He comes with batteries and you press a button on his chest and he speaks, makes sound and the mouth piece move. He is easy to transform and is very durable. He was designed for kids with play in mind. Any kid will be happy with his toy. This big kid sure is!!!
I uploaded a shot of both Optimus Prime and Megatron so you can see the scale of the figures. Definitely if you can, get them as a set. Good vs. Evil!!!!
It's awesome. Transform and roll out.

The toy is well made and will make a young man very happy at Christmas. I'm glad I bought it and if I were a young person, I would love to keep it for myself!

Son's favorite toy, January 11, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Transformers Animated Supreme - Roll Out Command Optimus Prime (Toy)
My son had been wanting this toy for a long time. After seeing it on sale on amazon I decide to purchase it for him for Christmas. He was so happy to get this toy. It was a great purchase for its price. It is one of my son's favorite Christmas presents. Most transformers that we have gotten him break easily or the pieces pop off. This one holds up great to my 4 year old little man. He is very hard on toys and this holds up against him wonderfully. I recommend this toy if your child loves transformers as much as mine. :)

Not much fun for a 5-year boy, January 9, 2009
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Transformers Animated Supreme - Roll Out Command Optimus Prime (Toy)
I bought it as a X-mas gift for my 5-yr-old son. He is a big fan of transformers. He had a couple of transformers. He was excited when he opened the box. After one or two days, he went back to play his other transformers. Here are the pros and cons in my opinion:
Pros:
*) It makes sound and light. Attractive to young kids.
*) Easy transformation steps. The upper part rolls out and converts to a truck head smoothly.
Cons:
*) Not robust. Less than a week, the head of optimus prime got stuck somehow and the robot couldn't convert back to a truck any more.
*) In the truck mode, the legs are locked together. It is very hard to separate them by a kid. Need help from an adult every time.
*) My son thinks the conversion steps are too simple. No challenge, no fun.
*) A bit heavy to carry around.

I got this toy for 4 year old for Christmas. It was the only toy that he played with. He loves it. We thought it was broken when it wouldnt transform back into a robot but then realized we were doing it wrong.

Great Toy, December 30, 2008
Durability: Fun: Educational:
This review is from: Transformers Animated Supreme - Roll Out Command Optimus Prime (Toy)
My four year old is a big transformers fan. He has wanted Optimus Prime for a few months. Santa brought it for Christmas. It was the first toy he saw and did not want to open anything else.
Can not say how the auto transform functions, sine he wont let me try it out. He is very content ot transform it manually.
But it is easy for a 4 year old to transform the toy. There is a top plate that covers the head when transformed. It tends to fall off, but not a major deal.
