Superb performance and value
I have used this product for over 6 months on my Canon 40D and now my Canon 50D. It performs flawlessly with super fast download if you buy the firewire card reader to get the maximum transfer speed.
The other reviews make no sense. One says the product is flawless then awards one star. That doesn't add up. The other says the product is great and marks it...

The shipping speed has nothing to do with the product. I ordered mine from Amazon using Prime and it arrived super fast.

This review is from: Transcend 16 GB 300x CompactFlash Memory Card TS16GCF300 (Electronics)
A good deal cheaper than the Lexars and SanDisks, but they work great, no issues so far. I've been using Transcend SD and CF cards for some years and they've been very reliable. Performance is very good.

Conclusion
==========
I just love it when a company puts out a better product for less money than the competition. This is the case. Save yourself $50-75, and get more speed as well.
You won't be disappointed with the speed of this card. I have a Canon 5D Mark II that writes FULL HD at nearly 40mbps and this thing handles it beautifully!

I am a professional photographer and have been using the Sandisk Extreme IV for years. It was difficult straying from the brand name I was familiar with but I took a chance and purchased the Transcend 300x 8gb CF memory.
This card is my second and my first one being a year old having no problems whatsoever made Transcend an easy choice as an option. With a wedding coming up I needed a second fast CF for my backup body and my old cards have been strictly backup ever since.
The ducati cards just cost too much and I wanted a faster card. The Transcend fit the bill and I got a much better price. I will always keep this brand in my searches because the quality, speed and cost were unbeatable. If didn't want to miss a shot and feared the slower buffered shooting of my Extreme IV's for such an important job.
I'm certain the Ducati or whatever the newer version are equally as good but they don't come close to the cost savings and I can certainly recommend the Transcend 300x without hesitation. You won't be disappointed.

This card reaches it's advertized speeds, unlike some other 300x cards out there. It is one of the fastest CF cards available, and is compatible with CF to IDE adapters so it can be used as a fixed drive in your computer. Add in the lifetime warranty and you have a real winner!!

I have two of these cards that I rotate through my Canon 5DmkII. They're able to keep up with it in full raw mode very well. Yes there are a few faster cards out these days that might get you a couple more shots in a burst before it stalls writing to CF, but they have two drawbacks vs this card:
1. they cost more. When I bought these they were the top end of Transcend's line, the comparable top end of SanDisk's CF line was 400x speed wise (about 1/3 faster than these 300x cards in theory, but only 1/5 faster in practice according to many in camera benchmarks) BUT these were maybe 60% the cost. I know I bought TWO of these for only slightly more than one of those cards would have cost.
2. longevity. These are SLC flash, they're rated to a million erase cycles. Many of the newer, faster cards are using MLC flash and are rated at 1/100th of that. When the directory node for the filesystem on the card burns a hole in the spot it's been keeping track of where the images are, you're going to lose images. The 100x longevity advantage of SLC over MLC means the difference between dying when it's still useful, and lasting past the point when an 8GB CF card is adequate for a modern camera imho.

Purchased after missing many shots because my old Lexar 133x cards couldn't keep up. Although not as fast as the latest and fastest cards, these Transcend 300x cards offer a good value for the money.

Booting a computer with this using the Cf To Sata Hard Drive Adapter for Notebook. Great read speeds and fast (40 MB/s) write speeds. Supports UDMA. If you need a fast CF card, this is it. Although you can probably find a good SSD for a cheaper GB/$ now.
