1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy if you want ice., May 27, 2009

This fridge has a TERRIBLE icemaker. It makes six of the puniest ice cubes every so often. Each morning I will have maybe 10-15 cubes the size of an iPod Nano. If you have a family and you want enough ice for more than two cold drinks per day - forget this machine. FP even admits that this model does make alot of ice. Truth is it barely makes any ice. Not well designed for the American market place, where we like our ice!

1.0 out of 5 stars whatever you do,don't buy fisher-paykel, December 2, 2008

bought a fisher-paykel dryer (about $700) and the unit failed in a month-contacted them as lowes doesn't accept returns after 30 days (don't buy appliances from lowes either for obvious reasons)
so fisher-paykel sends out a guy who makes a list of dozens of parts (about 1400 worth of parts for a 700 dryer) and I wait 3 months until all the parts are in and then a team of two rebuilds the dryer in my front yard over 4 hours-is this not utterly stupid? well of course the "rebuild the entire dryer in the cutomer's driveway" yields a non-functional dryer. so they send out another guy with another set of parts and he has it working. except it collects no lint and doesn't dry well. the unit has a mind of it's own and overrides the dry settings I select and just does what it wants-so I'd rate fisher-paykel down there with the 3 stooges. when you have a repair list that exceeds the cost of the unit-just send the customer a new unit, especially when his/her new dryer fails in a month
and as i mentioned earlier-don't buy an appliance from lowe's-it fails after 30 days? according to lowe's policy-"your problem now"
