Great product, just a bit on the expensive side
What I have read about this mousse is true - it does give a natural brownish tan, with no hint of orange. Application was easy due to the tinted mousse, as you could see any spots that you might have missed. Color developed within three hours, and the yucky DHA smell wasn't as bad as other products I have used. My only caution with this mousse is to use some latex gloves...

Missing the old product this one replaced
Judgment is still out on this product. Used the instant self whipped bronze tanner for a long time and loved it. This was suppose to replace it and it is not the same. It doesn't cover as well and since I started using this product, my skin is extremely itchy. Not sure if it's the product or something else, although I haven't used it for a couple of days and my skin...

Color developed within three hours, and the yucky DHA smell wasn't as bad as other products I have used. My only caution with this mousse is to use some latex gloves to apply it - it WILL turn your cuticles a strange brown color, even if you scrub well afterwards and use a tan remover. So do yourself a favor and use an applicator or gloves to put this on.

LOVE This!, February 23, 2009
This Whipped Bronze Mousse is the best self tanner I have found! And I have tried a lot! Like the other reviews it is not orange at all! Looks so natural! The mousse is very easy to apply and you can see exactly where you are applying it! No streaks at all! I used a different brand mousse but never again! I'm hooked and so sad I was looking orange for so long! I recommend using latex gloves as well, its the only way to keep your palms clean. Ill be in St. Tropez every day from now on!

Best of the Best, January 14, 2010
This is without question the best self-tanner I have ever used. Jergen's, L'oreal, SUN Labs (second best), Victoria's Secret, Coppertone, Banana Boat, Neutrogena, Hawaiian Tropic; you name it, I've tried it. None of them hold a candle, save for SUN Labs. As with any self-tanner, thoroughly exfoliate your entire body and moisturize dry spots prior to application (PLEASE wear gloves) and you will not be disappointed. It is absorbent and dries fairly quickly and while I never experience much color transfer, I wouldn't wear light colors or nice garments after application. After a single application, the color fades naturally (no splotches or unsightly "scales") over the course of about a week (no longer), assuming you moisturize nightly. It's brown and natural, not a tinge of orange. My skin is fair and I can still pull off color this.
I can see someone being put off by the price, but to put it into perspective, a 3-session "platinum" package at a tanning salon will run you about $50. You will be able to cover your entire body far more than three times with the 8 oz. size, and it goes without saying that you'll save yourself damage and the risk of melanoma. I highly recommend this product.

Did they change the formula??, July 29, 2009
This review is from: St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse 8 fl oz (240 ml) (Health and Beauty)
I have used this product for a few years and always loved it. This bottle is in their new packaging and seems like perhaps they changed the formula. It was always a medium to dry whipped kind of mousse which dried very quickly once you applied it. The latest bottle is much more "wet" and takes longer to dry on your skin, thus preventing one from dressing immediately. That being said, it is the darkest tanner around and the most easy to spread and create a streak free effect.

NEVER try another bronzer!! this IS It, October 15, 2009
I have tried many brands of bronzers, drugstore and beyond. I have tried Jergens natural glow and that stinks and turns orange. I have tried Loreal, Fake Bake, Victorias Secret and way too many to list. Bottom line, wear a pair of gloves when applying this. It gives an instant tan and then dries in about 45 seconds. I leave on for a few hours while around the house and then rinse off, and I look like I spent a week in the Bahamas! doesnt clog pores. I have used this on my face and I have oily skin, works wonders. apply it more often on your face since you wash that 2x daily.
LOVE. LOVE LOVE. Out of all the products I own this is my fave.

BEST Sunless out there!!, March 11, 2010
I have to concur with the previous reviews...St. Tropez Whipped Bronzing Mousse is AMAZING. I tried it about five years ago, and have tried other brands over the years, and NONE stack up to this! I always come back to it. People are always asking me if I just got back from vacation, or think that I've been tanning in the dead of winter...they are always surprised when I tell them it's sunless tanner! Used once a week, this will keep you golden brown and glowing throughout the winter months. An 8oz. bottle will last me a year, used about once a week. It dries quickly, and blends effortlessly. I haven't used the new formula (which is supposed to have less odor), but I believe the only difference is that it isn't supposed to smell quite as badly. Sunless tanners smell, and that's just the way it is. This one does too, but use it at home or overnight, and you're good. Then again, the newer formula could be wonderful smelling, for all I know! :) I can't wait to try it and find out!
Do use gloves. You won't regret it!
As a previous reviewer stated, don't wear something that you care too much about. This always washes out of my sheets and clothing, but I wouldn't take the chance.
Bottom line: Don't spend your money on any other sunless tanner. This one is THE BEST...take it from us who've tried them all! For the most believable color and easiest application, buy this one! :)

The Best!, August 10, 2009
This review is from: St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse 8 fl oz (240 ml) (Health and Beauty)
San Tropez Whipped Bronze Self-Tanning Mousse is the absolute best self-tanner I've used and I've tried them all. It doesn't streak, it's not orange and it's instant. You can see exactly how it's going to look all day and night. And the best - it doesn't rub off on my clothes. It dries instantly. I forget that I don't have a real tan.

best one out there, July 27, 2009
This review is from: St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse 8 fl oz (240 ml) (Health and Beauty)
Love this stuff, fully develops a natural looking bronze tan in about an hour. The brown color of the foam makes it easy to see missed spots, the smell isnt as bad as most of the other self tanners out there. Leaves skin really soft afterwords. Just make sure you wash your hands immediately after you are done or wear gloves because it stains hand pretty instantly
