I thought buying from this company through Amazon would assure legitimate business practices, but alas, I was mistaken.
LinkTronics will send you a few ounces of expensive memory for a $19 shipping fee. You will find only after it is shipped, and your account is charged, that domestic delivery is estimated to take three weeks.

LinkTronics will send you a few ounces of expensive memory for a $19 shipping fee. You will find only after it is shipped, and your account is charged, that domestic delivery is estimated to take three weeks.
Your next step will be to look at Amazon's return policy for third-party sellers like LinkTronics. There you will find that you are required to return the item to LinkTronics with a faster, more expensive method of shipping than they use to send it to you! See below for that. And, of course, they pocket the $19 "shipping" fee -- they won't refund it.
So a company sells a product cut-rate and makes a 15% margin -- all on shipping on a USPS slow-boat (I contacted them and they refused to send it UPS). Quite a racket, if you ask me.
Here's from Amazon's return policy for third-party sellers:
Shipping and handling charges for returning Marketplace items are borne by the buyer. To ensure the safe return of the merchandise, items valued at over $75 must be returned to the seller with a traceable shipping service. If the order is valued at $100 or more, insure the shipment for the value of the merchandise and ship your return with a signature shipping service. For items below $75, we suggest USPS delivery confirmation service.

Adding this RAM chip to my IBM Thinkpad t42 really sped things up. Apps load faster and surfing the internet is much nicer with pages loading very quickly.
