back to the Garden
Me and my Cuz use to call each other on the phone and watch it together now that I'm way older and saw that it was coming out I thought back to them times where it was Nice to say Hello Hello Hello Hello---and I wanted the next Gen. to see it so i had to get it. My little Niece loves it she call me and told me all about it..Funny I still can't get her do the Hello song...

The BEST childhood memory!!!, October 21, 2008
'Just got these DVD's today... When I heard this was released, I ordered it and *HAD TO DO* 1-day shipping, could not wait!!! I am a well-adjusted 39 year-old gay guy, professional airline flight attendant of 18 years, in suburban NJ... THE MAGIC GARDEN was one of the most AWESOME 30-minutes of my day as a child in the '70's!!! Watching the show makes me feel like it was 5 minutes ago, NOT 30+ years ago!! I almost cried watching the first DVD tonight!! I even remember writing letters to Paula & Carole in grade school and receiving picture postcards back, signed from Paula & Carole!! The shows are amazing... these LADIES ARE AMAZING!!!! Even now, at 39, I can appreciate the *adult humor* and banter between Carole & Paula even more NOW than when I was 7 years-old!! Carole & Paula, if you are reading this, please know.... YOU 2 MADE A DIFFERENCE!!!!! Love you both!!! You 2 wonderful women who made a difference in my life as a child... AND made it even BETTER!! THANK YOU!!! WZ from NJ :) :)

Great childhood memories!, August 22, 2008
I'm so excited this show is coming to DVD. I LOVE this show. I saw Paula & Carol live in the late 70's and they autographed my album. I hope the original album comes to CD soon! This a great show for the whole family.

I can't wait, August 29, 2008
I can't wait to get this DVD set. I have been waiting for 2 years now. I went to NYC to the museum of Radio and Tv and I saw a few episodes. I cried so much because I felt like I was five years old again. This show was so magical to me. I loved the songs they sang, the beautiful tree and especially Shirlock the squirrel. I wish I could get a puppet just like Shirlock the squirrel. I used to run off the bus from Kindergarten to watch this show. I loved when Shirlock always tried to trick Carole and Paula into giving him the peanuts. I am curious to see which episodes they chose to put on DVD set and if anymore episodes will come out after this set is released. Wouldn't it be great to get the complete set of episodes? I would pay just about anything to get them. If anyone knows which episodes are going to be on this DVD set, please let me know. I am just so excited....

Excellent Program!, October 30, 2008
Wow...it's great to see such a wonderful program again after all these years. I grew up in the Bronx, New York and watched this show every day. Carole and Paula were a beautiful, calming and educational presence in my childhood. It's too bad that kids nowadays need endless stimulation, sarcastic cartoons, video games and cellphones to be entertained. "The Magic Garden" takes me back to a much simpler time. I loved the lengthy segment on creative things to do with plain old boxes. It reminds me how kids like myself used our imaginations in a useful and fun way.
Thank goodness for DVD. We can again enjoy shows like this, as well as old school "Sesame Street," "The Electric Company," "New Zoo Revue" and "Zoom."

We All Need the Magic Garden in Our Lives!, August 27, 2008
I loved the Magic Garden. I remember this show when it aired on Channel 11 in New York and I lived in New Jersey. It was always on around 2 P.M. every day like clockwork. Even during the summer months out of school, I went in to watch Carole and Janis and friends. For a half-hour, they sang songs, told stories, and taught a lesson. I never knew that there were only 52 episodes. Unfortunately, there are only 10 here. I always thought there had to be hundreds and I probably saw them a dozen times. Thirty years later, I kind of yearn for that period of life when my worry was missing the Magic Garden. I think we all need the Magic Garden in our lives. If you have young children, I highly recommend this show and if there are preschool educators out there. This show is not only wholesome but entertaining and educating and fun as well.

FOR A NEW GENERATION, January 8, 2009
I ordered this for my almost five-year-old granddaughter for Christmas because I knew my daughter had loved Carole and Paula when she was seven. Some 37 years ago she recited the jokes and sang the songs, and we even bought her the record album. My husband took one look at the DVD set when it came and asked, "Are you sure this isn't for Rachel (our daughter)?" I sort of wondered myself which one I was buying it for. However, we watched our granddaughter a week later, and she was reciting jokes from the Chuckle Patch, singing songs, and telling us about Sherlock the puppet. She said she watches the DVD every night before she goes to sleep. We surprised her when we showed her the album her mother played to death as a little girl. And the album cover is the real treasure. It was left uncolored by the manufacturer so little ones could color it in themselves. We showed our granddaughter the album cover her mother had colored, and then we played the record for her - and listened as she sang along.

Well worth the wait, January 6, 2009
This DVD/CD set brought back the best childhood memories and was exactly the way I remembered it. If you loved it as a kid, you will still love it today.
