This seat is definitely designed for the bigger butt people in the Road Bike world. I weigh 260lbs. (very built though with a big butt) and this is very cushioning. The slit in the middle is very helpful to relieving pressure on the "softer tissue" area of your underside. I am talking from a lot of experience with having an open sore be caused due to rubbing and heat...

I mistakingly ordered this saddle instead of the Gel Flite regular. Far too big for my little bottom, so I had to return it. Problem was that the original got lost in the mail, taking over three weeks to arrive. During which a second one has been shipped, and is yet to show up (two weeks ago). I am still waiting for the second to appear to return them both. I'll never buy...

This seat is definitely designed for the bigger butt people in the Road Bike world. I weigh 260lbs. (very built though with a big butt) and this is very cushioning. The slit in the middle is very helpful to relieving pressure on the "softer tissue" area of your underside. I am talking from a lot of experience with having an open sore be caused due to rubbing and heat. sure it is expensive but for the cost it is definitely worth the money. Ad the biggest plus i believe is the fact that it still keeps the smaller design and profile of a Road Bike seat without the cumbersome size usually associated with the more cushioning seats. Would recommend this to anybody who needs the cushion but doesn't want to sacrifice size or too much weight.

If your bum hurts and you're a big guy rider, this is a great solution. Selle Italia is a top notch brand and the bike supply retailer shipped quickly.

I mistakingly ordered this saddle instead of the Gel Flite regular. Far too big for my little bottom, so I had to return it.
