Protects Fabric and Belts....
Purchased this bag for our Graco SafeSeat Step 2. This bag was basically to protect the seat fabrics and straps from getting mangled by the Airlines. It did it's job. Warning! Does NOT fit all car seats!
I recently bought this with high hopes. We need this to protect our rather huge and expensive Britax Marathon on our transatlantic trip. It is advertised as fitting all car seats. Not some- all. I recently bought this with high hopes. We need this to protect our rather huge and expensive Britax Marathon on our transatlantic trip. It is advertised as fitting all car seats. Not some- all. This is NOT true. Our Britax Marathon does not fit in this bag. It looks sturdy enough (that's why I gave it 2 stars) but don't be fooled. If you have a large car seat like the Britax models, don't waste your money on this. I'm sending it right back.

If you're looking for something to keep airline grease and funk off your carseat for minimal cost, this is your bag. Shoulder strap and zippered compartment came in handy...

This bag does just what it says: protects car seat during travel. Graco SafeSeat fits nicely. Took it on an international flight, and it came through without any snags or rips.

Fits better than I thought, May 28, 2010

I bought this for my Britax Roundabout car seat, and even though it looked too small, it actually completely covered the car seat. We've only used it once, but it made it to and from gate check just fine. It could have been made with a better carrying handle, but it's doable. Since we wanted to gate check our car seat and stroller (Baby jogger City Classic single), we borrowed another one for that and with the wheels removed, it fit, too! No complaints from me... pretty happy with this cover!

This bag held up traveling internationally. It completly covered our car seat (britax) with room to spare. I could never find a comfortable way to carry the bag with the shoulder strap, but slipped the handle over our suitcase handle. The shoulder strap has several points to attach it to on the bag, which is good, you can find the right one for you, I just never found one that worked for my shoulder. I would recommend this product. It costs much less than other bags and holds up just fine.

We have a graco32 carseat and used this cover for checking in our car seat. The cover is pretty thick and very well made. Our carseat survived two trips without any issues and highly recommend the travel bag!

For the price this is the best bag. It is plenty big for hold almost any seat and it gets you the basics - making sure your car seat stays clean for your child while traveling. The shoulder strap is not the comfiest you might find but again, for the price, it is just fine. To carry it a few yards from the airport to your car - you can do it. I would not spend more on anything else. It is basically a big bag with a zipper and a strap - enough for the few times a year you might need a bag like this.

We purchased two Jeep Car Seat Travel Bags for a recent trip and we were thrilled with how well they worked for us. The bags easily fit our car seats (one is an Alpha Omega; I don't remember the other off the top of my head) and there was definitely room to spare. The adjustable shoulder straps were a life saver in getting to the gate. With two small children, a stroller, diaper bags, and other misc. stuff we never would have made it so easily if we could not just put the straps over our shoulders, adjust to a comfortable length, and go. We gate checked our stroller and car seats, as did other parents, on our flight but when we got to our destination the baggage handlers only brought up the strollers (they put all the car seats through with the checked luggage as they said that we didn't need the car seats at the gate.) Even with all I presume the bags went through with the baggage process they came out beautifully--no snags, holes, or tears. And the car seats stayed clean. We are fairly frequent travellers and feel we will get much use out of these bags, but even if this had been our only trip to use the travel bags on we feel we would have gotten out money's worth. We are very happy with this item!

Served its purpose, July 8, 2010

We picked this up to transport our Recaro Signo seat (yes, it fits!) to the west coast. The itinerary consisted of 3 check-ins/4 flights. It held up well, even with some extra baby gear stuffed inside. But by the time we got back, the handle had been almost torn off, and there were a few areas where it looked as if the seat had been dragged and had worn through the heavy plastic, mostly on the bottom. Regardless, the seat shows no signs of damage. With a little duct/cloth tape, I might be able to get a few more flights out of it, but for the $20 or so that it cost I'd be satisfied if I had to throw it away right now.

Good for occasional use, June 21, 2010

I purchased this bag last year for my Evenflo Symphony car seat. The car seat fit in the bag with room to spare. The bag held up very nicely other than the front handle. It started to come unstitched by the time we were returning home. It didn't come completely undone but I will have to sew it before we use the bag again. I don't know if I'd trust this bag to hold up to more than occasional use.
