Amazing performance...
I bought this for my late 2008 MacBook 13" since it was about half the price of the Apple upgrade and it has performed beyond expectation. I thought It would be a similar performer compared to the included standard 160GB drive considering the pausing reported by others. Instead it completely transformed the performance of my 2.0GHz MacBook. It also seems OSX may not...
Problems with random writes
I have owned both the 64GB OCZ SATA II 2.5" SSD (OCZSSD2-1S64G) and the 120GB OCZ Core Series V2 SATA II 2.5" SSD (OCZSSD2-2C120G). I had problems with write delays in Vista on the V2, so I am going back to the 64GB which is very fast. (My brother is not happy that I am making him give it back).

It also seems OSX may not suffer the pauses reported with Vista and XP, at least I didn't notice any.
Everything I do is now faster: starting apps, opening my Mail.app with a couple-a-gigs of email, sleep, start-up, Photoshop CS3 (starting, loading, saving), and most importantly: my projects build MUCH faster now in Xcode. My MacBook is a completely different machine with this drive, so much faster.
However, after 1 month of wonderful ownership the controller in the drive seems to have fried itself. OCZ has said they would like to give me a new one and I am now waiting for the next step in the process.
So, now I am back to the original 160GB drive and I only use the MacBook now when mobile. Can't wait for the replacement OCZ SSD!
Things can break (though I didn't expect it with a non-mechanical hard drive) but considering the great performance boost the drive gave when it worked I still give it 4/5, if the drive didn't break it would be 5/5 and I'll see if I can revisit this review when the replacement arrives!
UPDATE:
Ok, it took quite some time, but the replacement SSD arrived a couple of weeks ago.
Installed it and clean-installed the OS and all my Apps and it has performed flawlessly since.
Shame I can't edit the star rating up to 5!

Bought the drive for my brand new Apple 13 inch macbook. Could not work better!! At first there was a hibernation/standby issue when it was coming back online, the macbook would hang and I would have to restart it, but the problem was actually the laptop needing a firmware update. Since the Macbook firmware update, the computer and hd rock. The speed difference is phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drops in and out at the drop of a dime, is no faster than 1TB WD My book, died after only one month of light use on an office desk in a well controlled area. Total junk, over priced, cheap, fails in a month, and taking the rebate voids return warrenty. Avoid this drive and this company (OCZ).
