What can you say about wipies? They work well, don't irritate and leave everything nice and clean, we hope.

Note dangerous ingredient: Phenoxyethanol!!, March 24, 2009
I was just about to purchase these wipes when I noticed they contain Phenoxyethanol which the FDA has warned causes cancers and endocrine disruption. It's a substance (commonly found in cosmetics) that's now increasingly restricted in E.U. and Japan (and hopefully soon in the US). I'm shocked and dismayed Nature Babycare would use such a toxic substance in their purportedly "natural" product. I will definitely stay away from their wipes until they change their chemistry. Look up the ingredient yourself before you buy this product!

dry, January 7, 2009
the wipes are too dry and I find myself using multiple wipes for poop changes. I add water now, but I generally prefer 7th generation wipes. Also, I ordered unscented, but they sent scented and I don't care for the scent. The smell is "baby" whatever that is, not floral or herbal, tea tree would be better than this scent. I didn't think it was worth sending them back so I'm just dealing with it until I run out.

Irritated, September 9, 2009
I bought a case of the unscented ones wipes and they do have a strange, unnatural smell to them which isn't offensive but not what I expected from an "unscented" product. The texture of the wipe is soft and they're not dry and get the job done as far as cleaning up.
I had actually emailed the manufacturer about a month ago to inquire what the difference was between these and the toddler wipes besides size (I have a 4 year old son who I like to do a final wipe on his bottom after pooping and am also expecting a new baby in a week and wanted a flushable, dual purpose wipe for both of them). Have not got an answer yet. Ingredients and materials appear to be the same according to their website.
In any event, they don't appear to irritate my 4 year son's bottom. So I started using them too to stay fresh 'down there,' but like one other customer said in previous review, they indeed irritate and burn! I'm not normally sensitive to any product but these do sting and I definitely will not be using them on my new baby because he won't be able to tell me if they hurt. I'm not sure if it's because my immunity is low due to being pregnant but it did cause redness and must have altered my pH because now I have a yeast infection.
I feel kind of guilty using them on my 4 year old but he's not complaining and I don't see any adverse effect, so I'll go through the case, and use them as makeup wipes too just to get my money's worth instead of throwing them out (they don't seem to irritate my face).
Will not be purchasing again.

Too Dry & NOT Fragrance Free, September 14, 2009
These wipes are very dry and have a strong floral scent (rose?) despite their unscented label. I wish I hadn't bought these in bulk. Next time I'll pay the extra few dollars for Seventh Generation or Tushies unscented wipes.

Not a joke - DANGEROUS INGREDIENT!!!, April 22, 2009
Thanks to the other review I did some of my own research - I wish I had done this BEFORE purchasing - would have saved me [...]
One of the top ingredients in this product has been deemed TOXIC by Europe and Japan - this is not a joke. DON'T BUY THESE WIPES! Here is the website to see for yourself - don't be confused by the two kinds, there is a Phenoxyethanol and a 2-Phenoxyethanol BOTH ARE TOXIC.

Not unscented, and too harsh, June 13, 2009
These are labeled unscented, but they definitely have a strong scent, sort of an "artifical hyacinth". Not pleasant! We bought them for adult use while out and about and traveling (really convenient when faced with a port-a-john or other pulic restroom). But just as another reviewer said, they sometimes sting and irritate the skin! I feel sorry for infants who can't tell you if they are hurting, and would not use these again. I do like Seventh Generation as another "natural" alternative.

Dry, thin, not going to buy again, December 2, 2008
I took a chance on these since they were on sale - and boy, what a mistake. I have been using them for 2 days and I think they are awful. The wipes are so dry it's like using a kleenex. So I have to dampen these with water before each use. Ridiculous. I now have an entire case of this glorious fun. Back to Seventh Generation wipes for me. Love those.

ecowipes, March 4, 2009
Not as effective as the usual non-eco-friendly wipes. These wipes are slightly dry thus making messy diaper cleanups more difficult. On the positive side, they are not as cold on baby's bottom as other wipes.

Too dry & smells funny, February 22, 2010
Bought these thinking they would be good for the environment & my son, but they're so dry that i end up using more and I felt like I was being wasteful. They didn't bother his skin, but now looking at other reviews and realizing it contains toxic ingredients i'm glad i stopped using them after the first package. I used the rest to clean up mud off of shoes & strollers. Also, for unscented they have a weird smell. Don't get these wipes.
