5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Grill!
Recently purchased this grill to replace 2 George Foreman's that got very little use. The Biggest Loser is terrific! Not quite the same specs as advertised: The wattage is 1400w, not 1800w. The size is actually about 12"x12" with handle included in the measurement, the grill plates are about 9"x"9", the height (without handle) is 4" and the weight is about 5 lbs. All this...

1.0 out of 5 stars very messy and poorly designed
If you want to grill chicken thighs, then you need to look elsewhere. Grease splatters all over the front, back and sides, and the grease container handle gets too hot to comfortably remove immediately after heating. I tried to save money and paid dearly for it. My favorite indoor grilling product so far is made by Hamilton Beach. (There are several models, so you need...

All this makes for a smaller footprint on the counter and I like that. Another nice feature is the long drip tray that slides in on integrated glides so it can't slip out or be knocked out of place. The tray catches drips from both plates when the grill is in the open (flat) position. Great design.

Before the first use: Be sure to damp wipe the grill then heat for 15-20 minutes. This burns off any residual manufacturing oil--these oils give off smoke and an odor.

The machine is ready to grill on in just over two minutes (ready light comes on). This is because the heating coils are integrated in the grill plate and therefore heat far more quickly and evenly than removable plates. The nonstick surface is excellent. Just remember to treat it like seasoned cast iron. Grease ONLY with cooking oil--DO NOT USE pan sprays that contain a chemical which actually makes nonstick surfaces bubble and peel off.

When finished cooking, soak a few paper towels and lay them on the surface till the grill is cool and you're ready to clean up. I then put the grill in a DRY sink, run water BESIDE it, not on it, scrub with a dishwashing brush, rinse the brush, scrub again to remove any remaining food particles, then dry with a paper towel. The top is made of brushed stainless and is very easy to wipe clean.

So far I've grilled meat, chicken, paninis, stuffed tortillas, French toast and vegetables. Everything has been top notch. I would give this grill 6 stars if I could. BUY IT!! You'll love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars so far so good, November 30, 2009

I have had the Biggest Loser AG-1300-BL-2-in 1 Double-up Grill and Panini Press for a few weeks now. We have use it quite a few times to make Panini's which we love. So far it has worked really well. No problems. I like how the feet on the bottom can be swung back so it is flat, or swung forward to make it lean back a little so any grease/juices run back into the catch tray. Our panini's have turned out perfect. I also like that it doubles as an indoor grill by opening all the way to lay flat. We have not used it for that purpose yet but plan on it. It is simple to use, and so far it has been easy clean up. Nothing has stuck and it wipes down quickly. It does not have removable grill plates which would be nice; however, for the price I can't complain.

5.0 out of 5 stars It is really good, and we like it better than our old grill, December 24, 2008

Very easy to clean compared to the other indoor grill we had. We make trader joe's chicken burgers on it, and it's a great Biggest Loser lunch maker!

I got this grill a couple mths ago and I really do Love It. I use it at least twice a week. I grill my veggies and meats and it cooks great. Only thing is wish there was an easier way to clean up, but I just use a wet cloth to clean up, that's the only downfall. Otherwise it's really a great investment.

1.0 out of 5 stars very messy and poorly designed, May 25, 2010

If you want to grill chicken thighs, then you need to look elsewhere. Grease splatters all over the front, back and sides, and the grease container handle gets too hot to comfortably remove immediately after heating. I tried to save money and paid dearly for it. My favorite indoor grilling product so far is made by Hamilton Beach. (There are several models, so you need to look them up on your own.)

With a Hamilton Beach grill model 25325H (the one I use), you can remove the grilling plates for easy cleaning (unlike the Biggest LOSER one), and the you can touch the grease container with your bare hand to pour out the grease immediately after cooking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best grill ever, February 27, 2010
By Lynn "Lynn" (New York, NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Biggest Loser AG-1300-BL 2-in-1 Double-Up Grill and Panini Press (Kitchen)
I cook a lot and entertain quite a bit, and when I had family came over one evening I wanted something quick and easy. I had a whole chicken cut up that I was considering ditching because there was so much fat in the skin and even embedded in the flesh, but as a last minute resort I plopped it on the grill, and in 15 minutes not only did I have delicious chicken, almost all the disgusting fat had been squeezed out of the chicken! What was left on the grill was every drop of chicken fat squeezed out of the chicken. And my chicken was moist and tasty not dried out. Works well with paninis and grilled cheese sandwiches and turkey burgers too (again always turns out moist) Cleaning can be easy if you soak the grill like the other reviewer suggested with paper towels. When you're done eating easy to wipe off and some scrubbing, but overall, for the price this is the first grill I have been satisfied with. Six months and still going strong!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money., February 1, 2010

This review is from: Biggest Loser AG-1300-BL 2-in-1 Double-Up Grill and Panini Press (Kitchen)
I purchased this product with the hope that it would be a good contact grill for the money. I was deeply disappointed, not only was it poorly made, but the right and left sides heated to such uneven temperatures that one side of the grill burnt my food, while the other side left it almost raw. Don't waste your money on this grill, there are other ones that are better made that heat correctly.
