5.0 out of 5 stars awesome carseat!!!!!!!!
I don't know what the bad review person was talking about...when he was describing the car seat check people said it was unsafe. I went through a carseat check and they said no such thing! Also, I love this carseat. My son is comfortable in it, and I like that he can be rear facing over a year because the safety standards recommend rear facing up to 30 pounds. I think...

1.0 out of 5 stars HATE THIS SEAT WITH A PASSION!!!!
After reading some of the other reviews, it seems clear that most parents have not dealt with this seat long enough to develop complete disdain for it. I initially loved this seat because my son was tall and he quickly outgrew his infant Snug Ride. I was so eager to get him into a seat that fit him that I picked up the first one at Target that hadn't had any recall...

Also, I love this carseat. My son is comfortable in it, and I like that he can be rear facing over a year because the safety standards recommend rear facing up to 30 pounds. I think it's easy to get him in and out. all around PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, when it is installed correctly, rearfacing, it doesn't move a dime at all!!!!!!!!!!!! very secure in my honda accord

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, even with 2000 mile move, February 3, 2010
My oldest son outgrew his infant carrier when he was 5 months old. We bought this and couldn't be more pleased. He is 29 months old, we moved from Utah to Tennessee with it, move it from rear facing, so he could sleep and forward facing so he could see outside while awake. We use it at least 2-3 times and love it. When we were in Utah we had two vehicles and moved it fairly easily from our cavalier to the our Blazer. We did have to use towels in the rear-facing position to keep it level, but we had to do that with the carrier as well.

As far as the guy saying it's not safe, the reason the check place said it was unsafe was because he hated it and if you hate the carseat it is probably because you don't know how to use it, which means you probably aren't using it right, so in ends up being unsafe because of the user not the product. I found this carseat easy to use, my son even clicks the across the chest clip himself. If you really do have a hard time with your carseat then what our county suggests is to take it inside and practice with it until you are comfortable using it.

If you need a safe, comfortable and easy to use carseat to use, then this is it. In fact I'm here to buy another for our now youngest son who's 4 months old and is about 1/2 inch away from growing out of his infant carrier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Safe, secure, and great one buy carseat!, January 26, 2010
This is the perfect carseat to get for your baby if you only want to buy one. We have had this seat thru both of our girls. Originally I got it because our first daughter was a very chubby baby, and this seat is quite roomy. If you secure it right (which my father actually enlightened me about lol), it is extremely secure. There is a plastic base piece that flips over for rear facing and then back again for forward facing. The seat cover comes off, so it's easy to wash, which we have done in the washing machine several times and still good as new. Loosening and tightening is simple (push a switch to be able to pull the shoulder straps out some, then tighten by pulling the strap away from the switch after baby is in to get a good fit). When our kids were newborn we did use some rolled up receiving blankets (you can never have too many of those) to cushion and support baby's head more, but that wasn't a big deal at all. And it is aircraft approved, which was great for us as well. All around very pleased with this product, and happy we found something for such a good price! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Good seat, May 14, 2009
This review is from: Evenflo Titan Elite DLX Convertible Car Seat - Lexington II (Baby Product)
We're very pleased with this seat. Our daughter likes it a lot better than the infant seat that she just grew out of. She doesn't scream the whole time we're in the car anymore. When she falls asleep it looks pretty comfortable - sometimes her head falls forward, but we can usually reposition things to make her more comfy. It's easy to install with the latch system - you have to pull pretty hard, but that's how every car seat is if you want it to be safe you have to put some effort into making it secure. We like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Evenflo Titan Elite, January 30, 2010
We bought this car seat to use rear-facing with my daughter when she outgrew her infant seat. It was easy enough to install in the car and she liked it so much better than her Graco Snugride. The 50 pound weight limit is a plus for large babies. We have turned the seat around to forward face now, and installation was still easy and a tight fit in our 2006 Jetta. Even though my daughter has almost outgrown the height limit on this seat, it was a great buy for us.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good car seat, January 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My son has been using this car seat for about 9 months and i like it just fine. It seems fairly cushy and i love the ease of adjusting the straps. There are 2 reason i didn't give it 5 stars. One is my cup holder and tray don't have a tab to snap it onto the carseat. I'm not sure if they broke off or what. Secondly at times one side is a little tighter than the other, not sure how or why.

Very nice car seat. Easy to install & fits great in a Town & Country. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is because the straps sometimes twist.

1.0 out of 5 stars HATE THIS SEAT WITH A PASSION!!!!, June 14, 2009
After reading some of the other reviews, it seems clear that most parents have not dealt with this seat long enough to develop complete disdain for it. I initially loved this seat because my son was tall and he quickly outgrew his infant Snug Ride. I was so eager to get him into a seat that fit him that I picked up the first one at Target that hadn't had any recall issues. My girlfriend also had one so I figured safety in numbers. I was so wrong. I took a carseat safety course and they told us if we ever find ourselves saying we hate the carseat to get rid of it because it is unsafe.well I hate it and it is so unsafe! The straps are always getting twisted and are always uneven so one side will be tight while the other is loose. secondly, the side compartments for drinks and snacks are impossible to remove and one broke off on its own. The chest piece never clicks completely and has come undone several times on its own. The bottom point will click and the top point will pull apart. I can always move it more than an inch even when it is latched and buckled in. It is hard to thread the seatbelt through the hole for it and it never seems to fit my son right even after redoing the straps.I will never buy another evenflo and I can not wait to replace this seat with something that will do what it is intended to do. DO NOT BUY THIS SEAT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

3.0 out of 5 stars It suffices as a car seat, but in retrospect... would have gone with the Britax Marathon, April 28, 2009
This carseat was at first the bane of my existence. Our baby was pretty big, so it was hard to get him in without having to squeeze him in. Not fun.

Over time we have learned to use this car seat, but learned that there are features on this which leaves me wanting more. The car seat only rear faces up to 35 lbs. Rear facing is the safest way for children to sit. The max on this is 50lbs, forward facing.

The users guide is kind of annoying to follow, I wish there were REAL photos on the guide... seriously folks, that can't be too difficult, right?

We got it for $80 plus tax, which was a bargain, but we should have gotten the Britax Marathon.... oh well...
