4.0 out of 5 stars Really like it!
I really like this car seat. My 20 month old daughter seems comfortable enough in it...she climbs in and waits for me to buckle her in. I REALLY like the harness adjustment being in the front and it's really easy to use, but the slack from it gets in the way.

3.0 out of 5 stars Wished it reclined too
The seat's arm rests are kind of flimsy and easily detached. The belt takes some getting use to when buckling my daughter in but it is also easily adjusted on the go. Be careful not to pinch your child's inner thighs when clicking the lower straps into place (happened once to us). The unit does not recline for a child to sleep in and I would have paid more for a unit that...

The seat's arm rests are kind of flimsy and easily detached. The belt takes some getting use to when buckling my daughter in but it is also easily adjusted on the go. Be careful not to pinch your child's inner thighs when clicking the lower straps into place (happened once to us). The unit does not recline for a child to sleep in and I would have paid more for a unit that does. Now when my daughter falls asleep, her head leans uncomfortably to one side (the seat back is very steep, maybe almost 90 degrees).

I was looking at a lot of brands and options for an in-between transitional booster for my 3 year old. She weighs 35 lbs so I wasn't ready for a booster without a 5-point harness yet. This seat was perfect. The arms are somewhat flimsy. My 3 year old can pop them off but I don't even have them on half the time because it's not really needed. It also comes with a detachable cup holder and a separate detachable activity holder. For the price, this product is awesome! Highly recommend. Oh, I liked it so much, I bought an identical one in a different color for my husband's truck.

This review is from: Evenflo Chase DLX Booster Car Seat with EPS - Abby II (Baby Product)
I have been very happy with this car seat. I purchased one about 8 months ago for my vehicle (our family's primary car) and have been very happy with the car seat. My daughter loves it...she enjoys being able to put her juice right beside her, keeps her keys in the side compartment, etc. It is well padded (much better than any of the other seats we found in this price range) and seems to be very sturdy so far. My only complaint about the seat is the tightening mechanism. The infant seat that we used until my daughter was big enough to face forward had the most convenient way to tighten and loosen the seat belt. It had one strap in the front of the seat that we could pull to tighten and lift a latch to loosen...both could be done with one hand. This car seat, however, has the belt adjuster on the shoulder strap of the harness. This is an awkward place to put it, partially because it gets in the way when I try to buckle my daughter into the seat. It is effective, but not near as convenient as the other car seat was. Overall, my husband and I have been very happy with this car seat. We liked it so much that we bought a second car seat of the exact same model for our secondary vehicle.

3.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for, February 17, 2010

I am satified with the product. But some warnings to potential buyers
- The chest buckle rides a little high
- The arm rests come out a little too easy
- the cup/junk holder is positioned at about a 25Deg angle in my car which is not ideal

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money, December 11, 2009

It is very good purchase for the money! We have got this car seat as a back-up for my husband's car. But we were surprized that this car seat is as good as the one we have got for my car! But mine cost $145! Feel like we made a mistake buying the expesive one for my car! I wish we did not spend that money!

I bought this car seat for my 3 year old. She loves the look of the car seat. The buckle system is different from the many other car seats I've used (I have 7 children), and a little awkward. The mechanism for loosening or tightening the harness is not as easy to use as a lot of other car seats I've used. The pad that is supposed to make the seat more comfortable shifts and my daughter took it off because it was always bunched up. For the price, it seems like a good buy. If you are picky, spend more.

4.0 out of 5 stars great car seat!, May 30, 2008
By Mommy of Three Boys (Greensboro, NC) - See all my reviews
We bought this car seat for my almost 4 year old son about 6 months ago. The front adjustment is a bit tricky to loosen sometimes but very convenient. Our main problem with it is that my son sometimes makes it too tight for himself which is really more his problem! He loves the little pillow in the back and it fits well in the car.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not very long lasting, difficult to use, February 2, 2008
We purchase this seat for our 4 yo son. The tightening buckle in the front was appealing, but it is way to hard to use. It doesn't give slack evenly. And changing the straps positions as the child grows is almost impossible. Very difficult. My son is very capable of getting in and buckling himself, but hates this car seat. We have had it for 1 year and are now looking for another for him.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad carseat, July 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I read a lot of reviews on this seat before purchasing it. Many people have said the attachments on the sides for snacks and drinks easily comes off... this is true, as well as the armrests. We drive a smaller vehicle and I can't close the door if I attach them anyway, so I just left them off. I think nobody really needs the cupholders or armrests... just a seat that fits their child well! The up front adjustment for tightening/loosening the straps on the 5-pt. harness is good and bad. I like that it is so handy but hate the fact that it leaves a hanging strap there for my kid to chew on.. it also gets in the way sometimes. I have a 13 month old (he's a little chunk) and he seems pretty comfortable in it. We recently took a long trip and he slept great in it (the body & head pillow is awesome). I'm glad that we will be able to use this for many years to come. The seat itself is very nice! The "extras" are not so great.
