Love this Product--Only Order it From Amazon: Here's Why!
I absolutely LOVE this shake. It tastes so good, that it is like having a treat! I drink it every morning for a quick, easy, filling breakfast. I also have it for dinner sometimes. DO NOT order this product from the Nutrition 53 website. They are more expensive, they charge outrageous shipping, and the fine print tricks you into enrolling in their automatic shipment...

Alternatives needed
Was very excited by all the positive reviews and its benefits.... Tastes like cr*p! Tried with water first, terrible. Tried with milk, insult to milk! Would love to benefit from the supposed fibre,protein etc. if I could force myself to consume this horrible tasting drink. V. DISAPPOINTED

Their customer service also stinks. Stick with amazon.com and try this amazing product. You will love it!

I love this shake and it works just like it says.
You get tons of energy and it fills you up for hours.
A bit expensive but worth every penny.

Great product for athletes or people on-the-go..., January 16, 2008
As a runner, I have been evaluating many different nutritional supplements and have not until now found one that had a great balance of nutrition with great flavor. Lean1 has a roughly 30-40-30 fat to protein to carbohydrate ratio along with fiber to help satisfy hunger. It has a proprietary whey protein blend base like many other nutritional supplements but also includes a great blend of fruits and vegetables for added nutrition which I have not seen in other products. I have also found that Lean1 tastes a lot better than other popular protein shakes. My personal favorite is the chocolate flavor but I have tried all available flavors and they are also very good.
I use Lean1 primarily as pre-workout supplement and found it to work great. I often find it difficult to time a meal before workouts so that my stomach does not get upset, especially during long workouts. At approximately 200 calories per serving, Lean1 is satisfying enough to fuel a long workout but is not so dense that it is counterproductive to weight loss or weight maintenance efforts.
The other great use I found for Lean1 is good nutrition on-the-go. Personally I spend a lot of time traveling and find that the available alternatives when pressed for time are generally not good choices for health conscious people. Lean1 comes in individual serving size packets which are easily portable and provide much better nutrition in a pinch.

Good Product, But Expensive, May 17, 2010

I tried this product and it seems to give me an extra boost when I work out or play weekend sports. The chocolate flavor is a little strange at first, but overall better than many other drinks. I tried the cookies n creme flavor and thought it was awful. I'll stick with chocolate from now on. Seems to work best when not taken every single day. 2-3 times a week is probably good so as the body does not get used to it. I do not use this as a meal replacement, just as an energy booster. But maybe I'll do the meal replacement thing when I get serious about going on a strict diet. I do think this is too expensive and think it should be $10 bucks less than it is sold for......

Nutrition 53 Lean 1 has totally blown me away! I have been using nutrition performance products for almost 15 years. Never have I come across a product that scores a "100%" in every category.
Taste: I have tried the Vanilla and the Chocolate. Both flavors are great, but I must admit that the Chocolate is the BEST of any products I have ever tried. It is almost too good!
Prep: I use a blender most of the time, but have used a shaker. Either works well, and gives a smooth, non-gritty end result. Because it mixes well with water and taste great it is perfect to pack along. I am a photographer, and can be out in the country, far, far, away from civilization, for many hours and Lean 1 provides quick, easy fuel.
Performance: I use two scoops for breakfast, before a workout, and this holds me until lunch! UNREAL! I don't get hungry for about 3.5 hours. The same is true after lunch. So, I am good until dinner.
Weight Loss: After only 3 days of usage and I have lost weight. I almost past out! I am shall we say, "49 forever", and have several issues that make weight loss a difficult proposition. So, I am THRILLED beyond belief!
Nutrition: Have you read the ingredient list? It is like reading the "The Top 40" of best ingredients. You would think you were drinking a multi-vitamin. Pro:Carb:Fat ratio is excellent. I love that it contains so many antioxidents. Superior design all the way!
Other: Lean 1 does not sit heavy on your stomach. Some performance products are like eating a brick.

Been bodybuilding for over twenty years and have taken every protein drink supplements under the sun. The last three years I've been competing in road racing and Duathlon's and have really been searching for something that gives me the nutrients I need for a pre and post workouts. Lean1 is the best I have used in all my years. It's helped me shed the few extra pounda I needed to lose for my cycling. I have a new walkaround weight, which before I felt miserable and weak. I now feel comfortable at my new weight. It has all the amino acids you need for recovery, plus fruits and vegetables. It makes a great meal replacement. The taste is awesome! I take it in the morning as my breakfast. Then take it again after a workout. I will also take it before a competition and throw a half a banana in there. It does not leave you feeling bloated like most other drinks.

I've been taking Lean 1 for over a month now and It's probably one of the more nutritous supplements that I've ever experienced. You start to feel the difference immediately in regards to your energy levels and over alertness.
What I like most, however, is its high quantity of fiber which helps in normal and regular bowel movements and overall improved health.

A great product, plan and simple. Tastes great easy to mix. This product mixs well no big lumps of powder like with other products. After drink these shakes you can feel the differece in your body. If you have been sidelined in life due to injuries and weight gain this product will help you on your way to a better you.

WAY better tasting & CHEAPER than MEDIFAST or OPTIFAST!, February 3, 2010

This stuff really works!!! and you do feel remarkable energy and will lose weight if you USE this for JUST 1 meal replacements. They suggest 8-10 oz of water with 2-3 scoops.. for me personally? I use a full 16oz bottle with 3 level scoops (provided)& 1 tablespoon of vanilla (Blend for 45 secs) then ADD 8 ice cubes. & pour in 34 oz glass. This truly is filling and will suppress your appetite. BEST time? morning! Watch your intake of fast or fried foods you will lose weight and feel/sleep soo much better. BEST tasting stuff out there. You can spend 10 times this much for jenny craig. nutrisystems medifast/optifast. NO NEED! BUY with confidence. Just so you know i have nothing to do with the company! But I swear to you...anyone that doesn't like the taste? is a tad fussy. This is better than any shake you've ever had on the planet!
