5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!
Loving this car seat adapter and stroller!!! We had a newborn and a 15m old... this was the perfect solution for us. I love the seating, I love the car seat option. The stroller is beyond nice. The other day someone stopped me and said " wow, that is a great stroller"... it is! Worth every penny. Our boys are now 3m old and 18m old, both in the 95% range for size and...

I hate when people review things they haven't used yet, but I'm going to do that because I'm curious if anyone else has had this experience. We set up our City Select last night. We are expecting twins in the next month and are getting ready for them. We have two Chicco KeyFit 30 car seats and therefore bought two Chicco adapters for the stroller. From everything we can...

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!, March 1, 2010
Loving this car seat adapter and stroller!!! We had a newborn and a 15m old... this was the perfect solution for us. I love the seating, I love the car seat option. The stroller is beyond nice. The other day someone stopped me and said " wow, that is a great stroller"... it is! Worth every penny. Our boys are now 3m old and 18m old, both in the 95% range for size and weight and the stroller is hanging tough! Not to mention, it comes completely apart so it fits into any space... I have a small SUV and the stroller fits, with both seats and the adapter in my trunk with groceries. Yesterday I brought only one baby with me and it was a piece of cake to change my double into a single.. what a wonderful invention!

5.0 out of 5 stars City Select is a hands down winner in my double stroller search., March 30, 2010
By Jason L. Schedler (Chicago, IL) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
There are a lot of double strollers out there. Off the bat, I eliminated side by side strollers from my search because they are so wide. I picture my wife alone with two kids trying to get into a bathroom and it pretty much rules them out for now.

In tandem strollers, the key functionality I looked for where the following:

1. Rides well outside (you need big enough wheels or you feel every crack in the sidewalk).
2. Roomy for kids but compact in design: The City Select made the Contours tandem look like a school bus in comparison. It's reasonably sized for all that it offers. Unless you get a stroller where one child is behind and underneath the other, this one is (in my search) the best size.
3. Easy to collapse and unfold: with one parent managing two kids and putting a stroller in and out of a trunk, you don't want to be fighting to collapse it. The City Select is simple, you pull up on the handles and it falls in place. Once you're there you can clip it in place so it doesn't unfold on you.
4. Can accept an infant seat: check (you have to buy the adapter, but that's usually the case).
5. Can recline seats: You can pretty much lay a seat horizontal by itself, so depending on how you arrange it you have options there.

Bonus: You can position either eat to face forward or backward. Repositioning the seats is a simple operation as well.

All in all, this product is very well constructed. It's a perfect balance of solidly made and lightweight. All operations are simple, for example, you can engage the brake on with one finger. It has a high price tag but it's appropriate to the quality and functionality that is provided. I want my wife and kids to get out as often as they want so if a few dollars can make it an easier task - it's well worth it. I'm really pleased with the care that went into the design. Bottom line, if someone stole it I would buy another one the next day.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best stroller ever!!, February 7, 2010
By C. Powell (Waianae, HI) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I have owned many strollers and I have to say that this stroller is by far the best stroller I have ever purchased!! I have a 2 month old and a 20 month old and I absolutely love the fact that I can convert this stroller from a single to a double within seconds. I hated using my double stroller when I had only 1 child with me and didn't want to carry around a single just in case I ended up having both boys with me and needed a double. Now I don't have to worry, this stroller fits in my car with tons of room to spare, the car seat adapter is so easy to assemble and the second seat just snaps right in. I definitely recommend this stroller if you plan to have more children close in age or are having twins. Like the other reviewer stated you will have to buy the second seat kit if you are having twins but you're going to need the second seat anyway within 6 months or so (you can even use the seat before 6 months because it reclines all the way back). I purchased the city select about 2 weeks ago and I a trying to find every excuse that I can to get out of the house to use it. I am able to maneuver easily with one hand around corners and the drive is so smooth. I love that I will not have to purchase another stroller. So worth the purchase!!!!!!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Can't make it work with Britax Chaperone Infant Seat, July 29, 2010
By Elaine Etheridge (Dallas, TX USA) - See all my reviews
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Love the City Select Baby Stroller but this adapter just did not work with the Britax Chaperone Infant car seat even though it is listed as compatible. Baby Jogger customer service also did not respond to requests for help so all in all a very disappointing purchase. I ended up using the strap that was supplied with the Britax Chaperone Infant seat to secure the car seat to the seat of the stroller and this works so much better than this adapter and saved money. The instructions that came with this adapter were terrible and I just could not get the Chaperone to fit securely to the stroller no matter what I tried. It was so wobbly and insecure I would not have put a stuffed toy in it let alone my baby.

3.0 out of 5 stars Seems Like It Could Be Better, June 25, 2010
I hate when people review things they haven't used yet, but I'm going to do that because I'm curious if anyone else has had this experience. We set up our City Select last night. We are expecting twins in the next month and are getting ready for them. We have two Chicco KeyFit 30 car seats and therefore bought two Chicco adapters for the stroller. From everything we can tell based of the instructions and just looking things over we have the adapters installed correctly but the angle seems off. It is our opinion that the car seats, when placed in the adapters, are not reclined fully. Surely not reclined as far as a car seat installed in the car, the Chicco travel system or, the double snap-n-go. The guideline on the car seat that should be parallel with the ground is not and we are concerned that our infants heads will flop forward at the angle provided by the Baby Jogger adapters. It is possible that the angle is acceptable, we have not tried infants in the stroller yet as they are not born, but we are concerned. Other than this, I have no other complaints at this time. Please comment if you have noticed this problem as well or if you had this problem but found a fix for it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Chicco Carseat Adaptor, June 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I fell in love with the City Mini back in the fall before my daughter was born. I wanted the Chicco Keyfit though and at the time they did not make an adaptor to fit this particular carseat. After seeing on the Baby Jogger website that it was in the works I was excited. At first, it was due out in Jan. Then April, then May, then June and then back to May. My daughter was born April 4th and we had purchased the City Mini and the Chicco Keyfit but had to wait over a month to be able to use the stroller b/c the adaptor took forever to come out.
That being said, I do love having the adaptor. Although, the picture shows that you are able to have the seat/cover etc on the stroller and this is false. The only fabric you can have on the stroller when using the adaptor is the bottom storage bag. Also , the fold is a bit awkward when the adaptor is in place.
I wouldn't let this stop you from purchasing the adaptor though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Chicco keyfit adapter, June 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My baby is not due till August so I can not comment on the other reviewer issues with weight, but it fits the seat well and feels stable. We put my nephew in it who is only 10 pounds and had no issues with stability. It feels very safe, fits the seat well, and appears stable so far.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed with adapter, June 8, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am very disappointed with the Chicco adapter for Baby Jogger. I was looking forward to this. I have the City Mini, which I really love. The adapter was great for the first month when my son weighed 12lbs. However, it became harder and harder to click into place and I entered up shaking my son just to get it locked. He only weighs 15lbs and I know the car seat holds up to 30lbs, so they must have taken that into consideration when designing the product. Luckily, Amazon has fantastic customer service and I was able to return the item. I ended up purchasing a New Chicco C1 through Ebay for the same price as the adapter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well, May 27, 2010

This review is from: Baby Jogger Car Seat Adaptor - Double (Mini/Elite/Classic/Summit) (Baby Product)
I have a Graco infant carrier and this adaptor worked well for us. My husband said it was a little difficult to install. It is sturdy and my daughter was very comfortable in it. I didn't give it 5 stars because I found it to be expensive and it was difficult to install.

2.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Adapter, June 28, 2010
By Molly "Molly" (atlanta, ga) - See all my reviews
We just purchased the City Select, which I think is a wonderful stroller. But the car seat adapter is horrible! First of all, there are five pieces to it, so you have to keep up with all of these little pieces if you want to use your car seat with it. Kind of a pain, and does not make for a quick set-up. Secondly, and more importantly, I could not get most of the car seats listed in the instructions to fit well with it. I brought the stroller and adapter into two different baby stores, and had two different employees helping me trying out all of the different car seats with it. Both employees actually laughed at what a poor product it was, and how un-secure the seats were. Sure, you can tighten the belt around the seat, but that feels like a huge hack-job to me. There was only one seat that made a "clicking" sound as it was snapped in, but the seat was so big that you could barely put the second seat on (in the lower position). We presently have the Bugaboo and it makes me really appreciate what a wonderful adapter they have... one piece, Graco clicks in place, so secure. Another problem was when we kind of got the car seats wedged in the best we could, they were so totally reclined... much more so that the baby is in the car. So at that point it seems like you might as well just use the bassinet. There is one car seat left that I have not tried with it - the Maxi Cosi - and from looking around on the web it seems like maybe this one works better than the rest. Maybe I am just not using this adapter correctly, but I have now had four people try and fit seats with it, and nobody has had any luck so far. Even if we are all doing it incorrectly, shouldn't it be MUCH easier to use? Has anyone else had problems getting the car seat to click in? Which seat have you all found works the best? Any tips would be hugely appreciated. We really like the stroller and want to keep it, but getting the car seat to work with it is really important for us!
