5.0 out of 5 stars Best bottles by far!
I have been through a ton of BPA free bottles and this is by FAR the best one yet. My baby loves these bottles and they clean up great. Yes, there are many parts but clean up is a breeze! I would MOST definitely recommend these!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent bottles, February 23, 2010
This review is from: Dr. Brown's BPA Free Polypropylene Natural Flow Bottle Newborn Feeding Set (Baby Product)
The Dr. Brown bottles were recommended to me by a friend with a special needs child who had done a lot of research. And I must say he was right. Even with the extra parts (which are necessary for the vacuum-less bottle design), I haven't had any problems with the bottles. No leaks, cleanup is easy, and our baby (our second) took right to them.

I will say one thing: You really need a dishwasher and the dishwasher basket to wash these effortlessly. Otherwise there are a bunch of parts to keep track of. Also, you should rinse the bottles after use. Milk is hard to clean off anything after it has dried.

I have been very happy with these and can recommend them wholeheartedly.

my baby's pediatrician recommended these. Baby has less gas, rarely throws up or spits up, and seems to like them too.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love the idea, but the nipple gags my baby, May 20, 2010

I have been looking for a bottle that my daughter will not reject. My daughter was using The First Years Breastflow BPA Free Starter Set, but suddenly rejected the bottle. We noticed that she became very gassy with those bottles, so tried the Dr. Brown's bottles, which were recommended by my home daycare provider. I believe that the venting system is important, as the Breastflow nipple would collapse completely while she was drinking, making it harder to draw milk. However, the nipple on the Dr Brown's bottle was so long and narrow my daughter would gag regularly as the nipple hit the back of her throat.

The bottle also leaked from the sides/vent after returning to an upright position even though I filled the bottle below the max fill line.

A little advice: if you are trying to find the perfect bottle for your baby, keep in mind that all babies are different. My son would take ANY bottle without a problem, and now my daughter is on her 4th bottle, and I still haven't found the perfect one. Both of my children were breastfeeding exclusively at the time. I suggest buying single bottles at a store and trying it before ordering large starter kits.

I bought these because I was convinced that they'd just be the best for my baby with the special flow system and the freshness seals... but none of that matters one lick because my baby won't touch them!

The poster who warned that the bottle brushes are not included is correct. No brushes. That's a shame, because I could actually use some bottle brushes. Also, my lactation consultant says that these bottles are a faster-flow bottle. She says it in a bad way, as though slower is always better, but I don't think fast is necessarily a bad thing if your own letdown is strong (like mine) and your baby prefers a stronger stream.

I like that these bottles fit my medela pump, so at least I can use them for milk collection and storage, but my baby won't take them. For whatever reason, she prefers the medela bottles. Maybe I can give these to someone from my breastfeeding mothers' group. I know some of the babies there love the Dr. Browns, so perhaps the won't go to waste.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bottles Ever, April 28, 2009

I have an absolutely perfect baby and I have Dr. Brown to thank! These bottles are great. My 6 month old has never had a gas problem unlike my other 2 kids, they were terrible. Clean up may take a couple of minutes extra with all the pieces but well worth it. I usually rinse them out just after feeding time and then cleaning is a breeze. I would recommend these to any new mother.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best buy for breastfed babies, April 4, 2010

I recently purchased the BreastFlow by First Years for my 3 wk son. He seemed to drink pretty well from them, but the flow was too fast and the nipples seem to collapse. It was kind of a pain to squeeze the nipple to get the milk back into the bottle.
My friends told me about the Dr. Brown bottles and showed me the nipple flow. I bought some based on my friends recommendation and have fell in love with the bottles. My son drinks slower, has less gas, and does not spit up as much. I would highly recommend these bottles to anyone who breastfeeds and pumps, or breast and formula feed. My son did not realize he was full for 10-15 minutes after using the BreastFlow bottles, with the Dr. Brown's (because of the slower flow nipples that simulate the actual breast flow speed) my son realizes he is full soon after his feeding.
Definately worth the money, wish I would have known about the differences in the compared products nipple flow and I wouldn't have wasted my money on the BreastFlow bottles.
The only downside to the Dr. Brown bottles is that it is more time consuming to wash the bottles because of the extra pieces, but that is minor compared to the satisfaction my son receives from each feeding due to the nipple flow and decreased air intake.

For all new time moms and moms to be.. This is a must have for you babies. This has helped us tremendously. It has helped with her gas and we don't have much fussiness since we switched bottles. The only CON of the product are the pieces to clean. Overall very durable and worthy product.

my grandson needed bottles so the research was done and the Dr. Brown were chosen. So we chose these off of amazon because of the price.
We won twice from the quality to the purchase price.

We have twins and these bottles have worked wonderfully for both babies. No colicky, gassy babies. They have their bottles and drift right off to sleep; no walking the floors trying to get the babies to burp. We've had no problems with leaking either.
