Works well
It was a solid product that was delivered on time. It works well with the phone (w760a).

Wrong item shipped, February 9, 2009
I ordered a stereo headset adapter for my cell phone. The item description said it would fit my phone. It did not. It wasn't even the same SKU number. Since it was not the item I ordered I gave BargainCell a negative feedback. At first, BargainCell e-mailed me that they would be willing to replace the item. After requesting a repalacement, BargainCell said they would only replace/refund if I removed the negative feedback. Finally, I contacted Amazon.com about the problem and was refunded my purchase price directly from Amazon.com. Since then, I have received e-mails from BargainCell stating that they had not received any coorespndence from me and they would be happy to replace/refund but only if I return the wrong item first at my expense. I had sent 4 e-mails to BargainCell via Amazon.com. I would STRONGLY advise to never purchase from BargainCell. Amazon.com did, however, easily honor their guarantee.

Not Universal, September 12, 2009
My fault - I thought that this adapter would fit my new C905a cellphone, and was not included in the listing of acceptable phones because of the cell's newness.
This adapter does not fit the C905a.
On the other hand - besides having an unusual plug why doesn't Sony-Ericsson standardize? Why complicate design, stocking and production. YIKES.
It might be bright for someone to make an adapter for headsets too, although most of us will use a Bluetooth headset, not a wired one.
FWIW - per my previous comments, the C905a is seriously harmed by the poor (grade F-) manual. And AT&T's wanting $0.20 for a text message that costs them almost zero to transmit? The New AT&T is not going far with that attitude - and pricing. LOL let's vote for the OLD wonderful AT&T!

works great, good deal, December 31, 2009
As long as Sony uses those infuriating proprietary connectors, adapters like this will be needed. I'm using a W518a phone and have had no problems with this adapter.

Works great for a few days, June 1, 2009
These work great for a few days, but then the wiring shorts start to interfere with all sound transmission. They are only a penny, but after shipping (around 4 dollars each), you would expect them to last much longer than a few days at a time. I purchased three, and needed a replacement product ( Sony Ericsson HPM77) within 10 business days, that's an average of just 3 days use each! If you need a cheap solution for your phone, these are it, but remember you get what you pay for.

good idea, poor execution, February 10, 2010
One reason I got my w580i phone was to use it as a mp3 player. Unfortunately the connector cable was waayyy too long, so I purchased this adaptor which was only a few inches long. It worked great for the first couple weeks and then I had difficulty plugging it into my phone. It got to the point where I had to jam it in for it to connect. The little prongs must be messed up now because when i plug it in i can barely hear anything. poor quality, but at least i only wasted $3. also, shame on sony ericsson for making such a strange adapter necessary...why cant we just plug headphones straight into the phone?

good product, January 14, 2010
this product is fine as long as you have the correct 3.5 mm headphones for it.....sound quality is affected somewhat if you combine it with headphones as opposed to using sony erricson headphones directly...overall a good product

sweatin' with the oldies, November 14, 2009
I am generally happy with this headset adapter for my Sony Ericsson w760 phone/walkman. I have hooked up my earbuds to my phone through this adaptor, and am able to listen to music while walking around the block for exercise. My only complaint is that my headphone plug does not fit really well into this adaptor and sometimes comes loose. I have had to force it in really hard to make it stay.
