This lotion will not turn back the clock
I'm not one for writing reviews, but after using this product I wanted to share my thoughts with others who might consider purchasing this product-- save your money. I used the cream around my eyes for 2 weeks and noticed ZERO improvement. Actually, the skin around my eyes became slightly irritated. It would be nice if the company would note that this product should...

I am very much into skin care since I was in my teenager. From Shiseido, Estee Lauder, Clinique, Dior, Lancome, La Mer, Prevage, Trish McCoy, Guerlain to Aveeno........... almost every name brand you can find on the counter or department store - I try them all. I wasn't very keen on Olay when I tried it in my early 20's - I just do not like its texture and smell - it also irritates my skin. I didn't touch this brand - OLAY for over 20 years.
When I saw their break through product Pro-X line - I put a big question mark on its quality and price. In November '08, I saw they were promoting its starter kit at Amazon and I thought I would give it a try - a very last try.................at least.
Surprisingly, it works! I look at all the ingredients written on it, went to their site and learn more about this product. Also study hard enough to ensure those anti-wrinke ingredients are the ones that I am looking for, eg: peptide. is in that jar.
I put on their SPF 20 lotion in the morning and this cream in the evening. I could tell the difference after a few days. The face is some what tighten up a bit and the texture is a bit smoother. However, it does not contain any ingredients that can brighten up my skin color. Some of my chickie friends use this as welll and we compare our end result after one month. They all claimed that it improves and tighten their skin!
What I like best:
+ The price compare with other Brand name products - it is a steal!
+ It does not carry too much fragrance.
+ There is a flip on the jar to protect the content inside - if you travel and carry all your jars of cream in your suitcase - you'll understand how neat it is to have flip for extra protection.
+ There is a rebate that one can dowload at their site - $25! Yeah!
+ Easy accessibility - at drugstore or grocery stores.
+ A little dot can spread all over on my face.....
+ I have super sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate my face.
+ My man likes it too - he thinks it is okay becuz tehre is not much fragrance.
I am going to try their hydration lotion and see if it can retain the mositure in my skin.

I have been using this product since I received my starter kit and feel that it has improved the appearance of wrinkles on my face. The price is less than others and this prducts has indeed showed results

A real PRO night cream!, June 20, 2009
I have been using the OLAY INTENSIVE WRINKLE PROTOCOL KIT for approximately a month now with some interesting results. (You can check out my review for the whole system if you are interested in the kit or the other two components- PRO-X DEEP WRINKLE TREATMENT and PRO-X REPAIR LOTION SPF 30).
The WRINKLE SMOOTHING CREAM says it is to be used at night and it is a nice, relatively scent-free product that goes on effortlessly. A little goes a long way and it does seem to help me wake up with a soft, somewhat smoother skin texture.
My only complaint (and why it did not get 5 stars) is that it can be a bit tacky once it sinks in and it remains that way for a long time. I use satin pillowcases (great for waking up without "bed face") and even though the case is slippery I can sometimes find my face lightly sticking to the pillow during the night.
It does seem to be effective in producing a nice feel in the morning, perhaps some extra firmness, too. It's a great compliment to the PRO-X REPAIR LOTION SPF 30 used in the daytime. My skin feels more taught, but not tight. I would not say it is miraculous with wrinkles, but I like my skins new texture. Definitely worth a try when compared with similar, more expensive products. I personally would recommend combining it with the daytime lotion for best results.

It would be nice if the company would note that this product should not be used by anyone with the slightest of sensitive skin.
The skin irritation and zero results are not the only reasons why I decided to write this review. I'm kicking myself for buying into the whole marketing illusion of trying to look like I'm 19, not 29. Yes, I'm 29 years old, and I'm concerned about the fine lines around my eyes. It's sick. I question the reviews of those who say, "This really does work! I noticed improvement after using the cream for 2 days!" Really, ladies... do we actually believe this stuff works? I mean, how can a simple cream correct what genetics has in store for each one of us? I like looking my best and I put effort into my appearance, but I no longer wish to obsess over fine lines on my face. This product will not "fix" that. It's a hoax, a scam, and it's something you should not waste your money on. If you are really concerned about the lines on your face, save your money for a great dermatologist with a needle full of Botox. Then you will see real results.
As for the other Oil of Olay products, I love the normal moisturizers that do not promise to erase your wrinkles. Those products seem to always deliver, and I will continue to use and recommend them.

It's ok, but I've used better for a bit less, October 26, 2009
The product has a good feel right out of the jar, but I find it to be a bit greasy feeling on my face - and that feeling of having something ON my face lasts a while. I can't smell it at all.
It does moisturize nicely, and it smooths fine wrinkles out just fine, but I've used another product that is a good bit less than this that works as nicely - in fact, I prefer other Olay products in their less expensive lines and find they work just as well for me. (Same results, less greasy feeling.)
Olay is a good company and they are good to put out rebates and promos - so always check their site if you are going to be spending some money with them.
My skin is pretty much normal, this might be better on drier skin.

i usually love olay product, but this one wasn't for me. i think my skin is too sensitive. i got red itchy bumps that i had to stop using it.

Not Really as Good ..., January 21, 2010
It does not really absorb into the skin and has a wierd smell to me. I have used Sothys products for years and was trying to try something new -but it is not a great cream and does not really do what it claims. This is just my opinion.I am back to my Sothys and love it!

I have used Olay pro-X and love it. Everyone that meets me often say "How great my skin is". I am well over fifty and most people that meet me think I am in my 40's.
I highly recommend this product.

Remarkable Skin Care Cream!, November 3, 2009
I got a free trial of the smoothing cream from vocal point and gave it a try. I am always willing to try something new. Within 3 nights my face was red, irritated, and broke out, a real mess. But, I have lots of allergies. So, I gave the cream to my sister to try out. Within 3 days, she called me and told me how much she loved the cream! Her "crows feet" were already dissipating, but better than that, she loved the fact that her freckles had vanished! I didn't see this in the clinical trials and don't think the results are typical for this reaction, but she is thrilled! She has now added the Olay Wrinkle Smoothing Cream to her Christmas list and I am thrilled Amazon has a $[...]! Yeah! It's a win-win!

Good Moisturizer, October 5, 2009
Haven't really noticed a big difference in the reduction or appearance of my wrinkles but it does seem to make my face feel soft and moisturized.
