Great little flashlight., March 2, 2009
This review is from: Fenix Special Edition mini LD01 Stainless Steel CREE Q5 80 Lumens LED Flashlight - using one AAA battery
What a powerful flashlight in such a little package. This thing puts out an unbelievable amount of light from just a AAA battery. The stainless steel finish should hold up well and the weight is not an issue. I ended up buying another for my wife. It is one flashlight that I never will be without. Battery life is pretty good considering the output.

This is always in my pocket, December 28, 2009
This review is from: Fenix Special Edition mini LD01 Stainless Steel CREE Q5 80 Lumens LED Flashlight - using one AAA battery
This is a great little light. It "screw" on and off with maybe a 10th of a turn - easy with one hand. I know that "it's really bright" sounds subjective, so how about - it's brighter by a long ways than a 2 cell mag light, and about even with a short D-cell mag light. I haven't ever not had enough light when I needed some, and my eyes aren't what they used to be, either. The quality of the fit and finish has to be the best in the world. Yes, it seems expensive, but it's about the same as a good 3 blade Case knife down at the hardware store, and if you think that one of those is worth it, then you'll think that this is worth it too. Fenix makes a less expensive model in Aluminum (borrowed one of those before buying this one) and it's a great light too, but I went with stainless because I figured that it would last forever. After carrying it in my pocket with a pocket knife and change for a few months, I really believe that it WILL last forever.

Great Small Light !!, September 14, 2009
This review is from: Fenix Special Edition mini LD01 Stainless Steel CREE Q5 80 Lumens LED Flashlight - using one AAA battery
This light was far brighter than any other small lights I have owned. I would dare say that it is twice as bright as my 'Mini-Mag' keychain light. You can feel the quality difference when you pick it up. I really like the 'Dim/Bright' option for battery life. Even on the 'Bright' setting you get a lot of usage time. I have it on my keychain and use it all the time at work. Very nice looking and works great!!

EXCELLENT AAA FLASHLIGHT, September 8, 2009
This review is from: Fenix Special Edition mini LD01 Stainless Steel CREE Q5 80 Lumens LED Flashlight - using one AAA battery
I bought this product because of the great reviews I read on the internet. When I used it for the first time, I was surprised about the quality and brightness, better than expected, given the small size. I have two! I carry one daily in one of the elastic mini pouches of the nylon belt pouch of the Leatherman tti charge (another excellent product) and the other one is on my bed table. I only wish same had a better grip and a lower low, so that i could use same to read text. I would not recomment alkaline batteries as same are prone to leaking and wish to avoid a possible damage to this fine flashlight. Highly recommended.

Powerful with a capital P, September 2, 2009
This review is from: Fenix Special Edition mini LD01 Stainless Steel CREE Q5 80 Lumens LED Flashlight - using one AAA battery
This little flashlight is powerful! It's very small, I hope I don't lose it. I plan to find some very durable string to put it on so I can keep up with it, dental floss might be good. I definitely plan to take it on vacations with me. Powerful!

Fenix LD01SS, March 13, 2009
This review is from: Fenix Special Edition mini LD01 Stainless Steel CREE Q5 80 Lumens LED Flashlight - using one AAA battery
I am quite happy with this flashlight. Its a bit expensive, but worth it. The R2 Cree emitter produces an amazing amount of light from a single AA battery and the three available levels are a nice feature. It seems to be very durable and should last a long time.

Well-built and worth the money., February 12, 2009
This review is from: Fenix Special Edition mini LD01 Stainless Steel CREE Q5 80 Lumens LED Flashlight - using one AAA battery
This light is RIDICULOUSLY bright. It can be used for a regular flashlight (or even a premium excellent flashlight). The stainless-steel finish is NEVER effected by scratches or abuse caused by my keys (which I attach to my pants and let hang, I HATE having things in my pockets). And all this in a light that requires only one AAA battery.
