So Glad to Have This
I have this laptop for 2 weeks already and I am really glad because this helps me in my work and study. This laptop look simple but the way it functions is really fast. Watch Out for Power Plug
Toshiba laptops have a big time power plug issue (internal power jack pulls away from housing preventing plug insertion). Mine failed within 4 months of use. It is a obvious design problem which Toshiba continues to ignore. Type in Toshiba Laptop Problems in Yahoo search engine. Its a problem that will NOT go away. Too bad...besides this issue it's not a bad machine...

I have this laptop for 2 weeks already and I am really glad because this helps me in my work and study. This laptop look simple but the way it functions is really fast. One of my students dropped this laptop from my desk but lo and behold nothing happened. I had it checked just to make sure but everything is perfect! Amazing! So durability wise its so good. Its fast with the internet. Picks up wi-fi so fast. The webcam is ok too. The picture resolution when I play dvd or from online is very clear. The design is just right. The touch pad is amazingly smooth. Its not sensitive but just right. Vista is good in this laptop. Before I forget, this laptop doesn't get hot fast on my lap. Excellent! It runs quiet too. All in all I don't have any problem with this.

Pretty nice laptop, March 5, 2009

This laptop is nice. It's a little heavier than I expected but I guess the only way to get one that's not heavy is to buy a little tiny one. One thing I don't like about this laptop is the battery only lasts 2 hrs or so. It didn't say anything about battery life on the description when I bought it.

This is actually my first Toshiba, the first Laptop I have ever purchased and actually the first computer I have ever purchased. I am an IT manager and we can make anything work and usually take hand me downs. My Dell was getting long in the tooth so I was looking to replace it. I didn't want to spend a boat load of money so I did some research and found this laptop. Toshiba Laptops have a very good track record so I decided on this one. Let me tell you this is a nice laptop. Setup was quick and painless and it is nice performing machine.
The camera isn't the best in the west but that wasn't a purchase factor for me anyway. If this is low end it's a great low end machine!!Toshiba Satellite L305-S5924 15.4-Inch Laptop

Cheaply Made, April 11, 2009
I bought this product as a replacement for my Sony VAIO that I been using for 7 years. I've been using it for three weeks now and I find it cheaply made. For one, one of the key is not working. Second, it gets sratch so easily. I've taken it overseas this past few week and had to find alternate computer to use because "A" keyboard letter sticks. I guess you get what you paid for.

I bought this computer mainly to have something portable to do my school work on and it works well for that purpose. I do not do a lot of downloading or other activities that take up a ton of memory, so if you need something for school or just surfing the internet I would say this is a great choice for the price. If you would be using the computer for an everyday job or heavy gaming/downloading this may not be the computer for you. Great family/leisure or student laptop. Be prepared to keep a can of air on hand because the keys will start to stick with a lot of use. Also, the disk drive seems a little flimsy which could pose a problem in the future.

Good All-Around Laptop, June 1, 2009

This is a great laptop for you everyday average user. It is great for surfing the web, email, and office work. As a "prosumer" photographer, I enjoy the memory card reader built into the front of the laptop, although I am not sure if I like its placement. The side might have been a better choice.
The flush mounted trackpad takes some getting used to and I still accidently hit it sometimes.
It is true what another reviewer said about the power plug. The design flaw is that the plug sticks out from the side of the laptop about an inch. For those who like to sit the laptop on their lap or use it on a less than solid surface, this can put pressure on the interior receptical of the plug. It eventually snaps (or appears to) out of place inside the laptop and you have to do some gentle manipulation to put it back into place.
This is the second Toshiba we have and is highly recommended for the price/value/perfomance...just be caustious about the plug.

exceptional save one issue, June 1, 2009
This was an exceptional laptop for the money, all around, no issues, except the the adapter plug working loose from the laptop, after that I have to watch it closely to keep it from working loose and falling out, which could very easily result in needing a new battery if it happens more than twice without noticing its unplugged. But if your going to be setting at a desk not moving it around much or plugging and unplugging it very often its perfect.

This computer has performed very well. It does all that we wanted it for at what we consider a reasonable price.
We use it as a wireless remote for the wife to surf the web and read e-mails.

Toshiba customer repair service is horrible!!, June 30, 2009

The laptop it self works great but the LCD screen is very fragile and breaks very easily. Toshiba will not cover it under warranty and has no warnings on the product or in the directions. Mine broke by simply turning it on a table.
