Great Speakers
Installed 2 set of these speakers in my 2009 Honda Civic with Kenwood Amp & Dual 12" Sub combo pack with stock radio and this system sounds fantastic.

Somewhat disappointed...
I purchased these speakers as a replacement for the factory front door speakers in my GMC Sierra (one of the originals was crackling). It turns out that the factory speakers have much better low frequency response (bass) than these 1683's. The mids and highs are decent though. I was so disappointed that I left in the factory speaker in the other door since it is still...

Awesome sound!, February 6, 2009
These speakers are awesome, they kick really hard for their size. Sound is really good. I highly recommend it and rate them 5 stars. Bass lovers you will not be disappointed.

I purchased these speakers as a replacement for the factory front door speakers in my GMC Sierra (one of the originals was crackling). It turns out that the factory speakers have much better low frequency response (bass) than these 1683's. The mids and highs are decent though. I was so disappointed that I left in the factory speaker in the other door since it is still working well. Note that I am still using the factory head unit. I suppose that these speakers would be better suited using aftermarket amplifiers, subwoofers, etc., but I wouldn't recommend them as a factory replacement. Three stars because the price was fair (but I wish I had purchased something else).

love my new pioneers, February 12, 2010
they sound very good ,much much better that the original factory junk on my car from GM ,pioneer is one of the best sound maker in the market no question about that love this speakers .

Pioneer makes a mistake with these speakers, February 6, 2010
This is one product I would not recommend. I did read the customer reviews but I did not heed the warning that these are an embarrassment to have the name Pioneer on it. They look nice but sound BAD. 2 stars for looking good.

Overall good speakers, January 27, 2010
They sound pretty good, the only problem I have with them is that the covers are not fully screened; just a band across the middle which looks cool but I could see garbage tossed up on the rear deck finding its way into the cone. I bought them for my son to replace his stock speakers (blown) and he's also happy with them. Overall good sound, could use a little more bass but they are 6.5's and for the money they sound great.

Best value, January 9, 2010
Generally I look for the best product to suit my needs regardless of cost or price. This purchase was at time when I needed to watch my dollars. This product fit the requirements and the needs. Best value for 4 way 6½ rounds that I could find. Performance is beyond expectation.

WoW!!!, October 20, 2009
I purchased these speakers & was pleasantly surprised with its performance! The sound is clear & bass is deep for its size. Would recommend to anyone looking for good quality speakers with an even better price. Make sure that you have the proper opening to install. Would recommend to shop around for the best price possible!
