3.0 out of 5 stars Thank God for this invention!
I have a very active 4 year old girl who cant sit still for long. It is so awesome to have the option off letting her sit or stand. The assembly was very easy. I did it myself with out asking my husbands help, wich usualy I need. It is a large Item. It takes most the space in the back of my SUV.

After months of reading reviews and wading through all of our stroller options... we picked this one for its features, style, great price! We have a tall 2.5 year old boy (36 lbs) and a 1.5 year old girl (29 lbs). Our old stroller was a bus and didn't have some of the features I wanted like cup holders for mom and dad! So we sold it at a yardsale and upgraded! This stroller steers like a dream with my toddlers totaling 65 lbs plus my purse/diaper bag. The pros: TWO parent cupholders that hold our water bottles great. Snack trays for BOTH seats (other strollers only have one), the easy swing away feature of the tray to get the kids in and out. This is much better than the "clip" on kind that had me dropping the tray and fumbling for it while trying to get my kid in the stroller! The material seems easy to clean, though we haven't had any major spills yet. My 2.5 year old son LOVES the sit and stand feature. This is wonderful for trips to the zoo, etc. when he wants to sit some times and get up to look sometimes. The jumpseat/backseat is easy to remove after you've done it a time or two. I didn't even have to read the directions to figure it out. When we're in the store and he wants to use the bench instead of the full seat, it's an easy transition and I store the seat in the basket below. There is plenty of room in the backseat for my 2.5 year old and his long legs. In the earlier model of this stroller people complained of their kids' feet hanging into the basket below, but they raised the seat and the foot rest so this isn't an issue so much anymore. The cons: The storage basket isn't as large as other models, nor is it super accessible, but we were willing to compromise there. The canopies aren't as protective as we'd prefer, but again, a small compromise. I wish the seat backs were a little taller for my kids' heads when they're sleeping. They're tall and the seat back doesn't come to the top of their head. The backseat doesn't ever sit fully upright even when adjusted as much as I can. And they don't recline a lot... enough for napping, but not total reclined comfort. Finally, it doesn't fold as compactly as the earlier model of this stroller did, but that could be due to the raised backseat and the extra child tray.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice double stroller, April 19, 2009
This review is from: Baby Trend Double Sit N Stand Stroller, Skylar (Baby Product)
This stroller has exactly what we were looking for, the ability to have a infant carrier in either seat and also haul around a 2 year old. We were looking at the other Sit N Stand strollers and really liked that the rear seat can be removed, but were wishing for the added ability to put the infant seat in the back and the 2 year old up front.

Assembly was very easy, just add the wheels and trays. We go on an approximate 3 mile walk every day and the stroller pushes well. The wheels are big enough to go on the sidewalk and take small bumps.

So far, we couldn't ask for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great double stroller!, August 21, 2009

This review is from: Baby Trend Double Sit N Stand Stroller, Skylar (Baby Product)
SO, after much deliberation, I chose the Baby Trend Sit N Stand Double. and I love it! I chose this model as opposed to the Baby Trend Sit N Stand PLUS Double (the one at Target and Babies R Us online) since I think this one is more updated. (they should really have named the two models more uniquely since it is difficult to tell which model is which, like i think the[...] one in everest just says Double, not Plus, which is what it is).
The biggest thing for me is the fact that you can put the car seat in EITHER seat, as opposed to just the front on the other model. That was a huge plus for me since I think I would rather have the baby in the car seat in the back so he is closer to me, and my toddler up front where he can see better. It also has a child tray for BOTH seats as opposed to just the front seat (which didnt make much sense since that is the only place where the younger baby can go on the Plus model).
It was mostly already together which was nice. I just had to click on the wheels, snack trays, and the front canopy. Other than that, it was all assembled. It took me MAYBE 5 minutes, and I am 9 months pregnant!
It folds open and closed easily and is actually not that much larger than my Graco single stroller (in terms of size, but it is quite a bit heavier, although still manageable). Oh, and unlike the other review, you do NOT have to remove the front canopy to fold it. Not sure why she has to, but it folds fine with it on.
The rear seat came out VERY easily to convert to the sit N stand and when it's out, it isn't too large, so it would be easy to store in the car without taking up much space.
My son who is 18mos fits well in both seats, but is obviously not old enough the use the sit N stand function yet. i think it says 2.5 years. Because there isnt a back rest, they have to be old enough to have good balance on just a platform. I knew that already though, I purchased this one because I knew he would need a real seat for another year.
The front seat only has 2 recline positions, straight up, and slightly reclined. The rear seat has the adjuster where you pull the cord and you stop it where ever you like. Neither seat lays down very far but that's not a big deal to me. The rear seat reclines enough where my toddler could sleep just fine.
The basket is under where the older child has his feet, but my son is NO WHERE near close to the basket. So it doesn't seem like an issue to me. I am just glad there is even a basket! It also has a lower back to it so you can access the contents from the back of the stroller, which is nice.
In terms of maneuverability, I think it does fabulously! It steers very easily, is smooth riding, and turns quite well. I took it for a spin around my dining room and it did surprisingly well. I really don't see much of a difference from my single stroller. So that's good.
The Skylar pattern is very nice. The blue isn't solid, is has a little pattern to it. The brown is nice too.
So far, there isn't anything I don't like about this stroller! It's a great option at a great price, and I love that it will grow with our family! Wonderful purchase!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great stroller for two little ones!, May 16, 2009
This review is from: Baby Trend Double Sit N Stand Stroller, Skylar (Baby Product)
I purchased this stroller for my two kids - one newborn and a 19 month old. We thought we'd use it with both seats for now until our toddler gets big enough to use the sit-n-stand feature. We've had it a month and absolutely love it so far! We've been to the mall and on walks in the neighborhood. It turns great and fits through doorways and stores very easily. It's somewhat heavy to lift in and out of the car, but that's what you'd expect from any double stroller. It's a little tricky to secure an infant car seat with the included strap, but once you get the hang of it it's not bad. Overall, a great purchase and we hope this will last us quite a while!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Stroller Overall, August 23, 2009

Overall, I am pleased with the stroller. I have a 2 year old and 8 month old who both like riding in it. Cons-leg room for 2 year old in back is very small, she has to twist her feet sideways to get out. I think its meant to be taken off for the bigger kids so they didn't worry about the leg room. Its fine for my 8 month old though who usually sits in the back. The front seat doesn't recline much. Its ok for us though because our daughter won't nap in it anyway. You can't remove the fabric for the seats and just throw them in the washing machine, you need to spot clean them. Its a little time consuming to remove seat fabric, once you do it a time or two you get the hang of it, but difficult at first. Folding it up is tricky when you have the front canopy attached. Also, the tray and/or foot rest doesn't really stay on when you fold it up. Pros-very very durable. We've tested this stroller to the extreme. I use it outdoors at parks mostly right now and its is holding up extremely well despite rolling over 20-30 tree roots a day multiple times a week. Once you get the hang of folding it up, its super easy and quick. Folds up smaller than graco duoglider and some of the other double strollers out there. Sit-n-stand option is wonderful the few times we used it. When the rear seat is in place the stand portion is available to put some extra baggage on when you fill up the bin underneath.
In the end, this stroller has been through 1 foot plus of fresh snow, mud, dirt, gravel, grass, the spring melt of Alaska, and a few trips from AK to FL and still pushes relatively easily. Its not very easy to turn, but when you've got 30 pounds in front and 21 punds in the back, what is easy to turn? As for durability, this stroller has been put the test with us and we are very happy with it overall. I have it a 4 rather than a 5 due to the con associated with it. I recommend this stroller, but also check out the kolcraft contours or options. I don't remember the name of it exactly, but its a red stroller where the two seats can be faced different directions that you want. We chose this one due to the option of the sit n stand for our daughter when she gets older.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mom of 2 boys, November 11, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Baby Trend Double Sit N Stand Stroller, Skylar (Baby Product)
I'm the mom of a 2 year old and newborn boy. I researched every sit-n-stand and double stroller out there while pregnant to decide which one I would get for my sons. My husband and I decided on the Baby Trend Double Sit N Stand in Skyler. We chose this one for a few reasons. First, it is one of the more reasonably priced sit n stands that convert to a double stroller. Also, I could put the baby's car seat in the REAR seat, which most do not do. I couldn't see my 2 year old being happy shoved in the back of the stroller and not being able to get himself in and out since I don't quite trust him not to take off running yet. It also has trays for the kids in the front and back seats, and both trays are completely removeable. Since my oldest turned 2 just after his brother was born, we figured he still needed a stroller, so this one will grow with our kids. It's very easy to put together that first time, easy to snap out and stand up out of the trunk. It also folds pretty small considering it's a double. And it stears at least as well as my single Graco Lite Rider stroller does, and also accepts the car seat that came with that stroller. It did take me a couple tries to get the sit n stand part down pat. The directions were a little confusing to me, but we've got it now. The only think I wish it did was that the foot rest for the back seat would come out. It would be MUCH easier to get our diaper bag in and out then. All in all, it's a wonderful stroller and we love it!

4.0 out of 5 stars i ike this stroller, August 12, 2009
This review is from: Baby Trend Double Sit N Stand Stroller, Skylar (Baby Product)
I like this stroller. I purchased on amazon and didn't need to pay for shipping. It came super fast and was super easy to assemble. I did it by myself because I didn't want to wait for my husband to get home. I think it is super versatile and use it daily for walking. I like that you don't need a bar to use and infant seat. You just swing down the tray and it hooks my graco infant seat perfectly. I also think the back seat is super convenient. I can take it off or put it on easily. The only think I don't like is that when you fold it up you have to make sure the wheels are a certain way or it won't fold nd you need to take off the front shade for it to fold as well. Oh well...... no stroller will have everything.... besides if there was a perfect stroller this stroller would have jogger wheels making it THE PERFECT STROLLER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had this double stroller for a month now and I use it every chance I can! It turns well with either my toddler in the front or my daughter in her carrier. Its material is nice and I have had a few good comments on it. My friend wants one now because the one she has sucks at turning. Also it does fold up only a few inches bigger than a regualr stroller. When we had our car it fit in fine. We now have a toyota sequoia and I'm able to take it out the back window instead of opening the whol back. There is enough room at the bottom for the diaper bag and my purse. The cupholders have and extra storage place where I can put my keys. The only two things I wish were different is that the sun shades were a little bigger and that the back seat would come off easier. I'm getting used to it but that would be nice for future models. Other than that I love the product!!

We have a new baby and a 18 month old. We have taken it to Disney and used it for daily errands have been happy. Pros: car seat snaps in front and back, has 4 cup holders, folds up and down easy, stores easily upright without falling over, lots of space for both kids and back seat sits high so you can see out, back seat reclines enough for two month old to comfortably sit in and not slide around. cons: like most doubles it is heavy and large, basket is hard to get to
