I got this unit thinking it's cool to have a bunch of songs from different languages to satisfy various types of friends, but as I dig into further with this machine, I noticed not enough vocals on this disc! 1 out of 20 songs or so has vocal, meaning the voice of the lead singer singing. If you want to hear how the song is sang, for most of the disc, you would be clueless! This defeats the purpose of a karaoke machine. The funny part is the seller didn't even disclose this info on their item description so that the buyers can make an informed decision! I had to pay 15% restocking fee for returning the unit! If the seller were to be honest and specify that only a few vocals will be available, I wouldn't even buy it in the first place. They didn't and they charged me 15%. Ridiculous!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money!, January 16, 2010
This review is from: JBK M-4000N MIDI / DVD / CD+G / USB Karaoke Player with Video Superimposing & SD/MMC Reader Over 40,000 Songs Included
I have been using this player for couple of months. It comes with a midi cd and that is the only collection you can use with this player(you cannot make your own midi cd). Saying that I started creating my own collection in video format(mpg, avi, etc.) and that is where the problems began. Using external hard drive or thumb drive, the player cannot play most of the files smoothly. Especially the avi files. It keeps dropping the frames during playback as well as the audio. I have tried so many different file compressions without any improvement. Finally I sent it for repair(it was still under warranty). They kept the player for 2 months saying that everything is working 100%. I kept sending them video files that I had problem playing and always got a response that everything is correct. Finally I decided they send it back to me. I hooked it up and I'm still experiencing the same problem. It seems like the USB port is not fast enough to process the files. It doesn't matter if it's USB 1.1 or 2.0. This player is too expensive to have a glitch like that. It should be selling for $100 bucks not $400.
I do not recommend it at all unless you want to be limited to the music collection the player came with.
