Way Basics, WAY Cool!
I first got one of these nifty little storage units for my room. Once my roommate saw it he just had to get one for himself (he's a big eco buff). So we have a Red and Orange duo standing right next to each other.

Nice Enough, But Not So Rugged Or Easy To Assemble Attractively
These shelves look nice enough, but, since they go together with two-sided tape, it's hard to get the pieces aligned precisely before permanently sticking them together. If you care about fit and finish, you may prefer something that goes together more precisely, such as with screws and pre-drilled holes. I first got one of these nifty little storage units for my room. Once my roommate saw it he just had to get one for himself (he's a big eco buff). So we have a Red and Orange duo standing right next to each other.
I couldn't believe how strong and durable the zBoards from Way Basics are! I have stored everything from my gym shoes, heavy textbooks, CD's, DVD's, even Vinyl. Assembly was a cinch; I didn't even need the instruction guide! Can you say that for Ikea furniture?
My initial concern was the 3M industrial strength double-sided tape. However the way the pieces are constructed, the zBoards are essentially supporting themselves with the horizontal zBoards resting on the vertical zBoards. The tape is super sticky and holds the boards together incredibly well. I guess if they use tape in airplanes, they can use it in furniture, genius!
The bottom line: it's eco, it's colorful, the price you can't beat and assembly was as easy as 1, 2, 3. Way Basics is Way cool!

These things are pretty great. I love this double one and I use it as a bookshelf. It looks so good and the green color is very fresh and clean looking. I have many books in it and on top of it as well and it's strong enough to hold more, no problem. I'm very pleased with this purchase and it was so easy to put together. I also bought some for my daughter's room, just the single cubes and they also work great, all are very light and the adhesive used to keep them together is not going to budge once you have the pieces together (so be careful when you assemble them, make sure they're lined up in the back just perfectly) Once you put the backing on you can feel how sturdy they are. Overall, great buy.

Pretty cool, but not perfect., November 2, 2009
I'm really intrigued by this company and look forward to their future. I followed the online video step by step, having to pause at each step. I am very meticulous and very exact and still I could not get the parts to line up and attach perfectly. It's close but not 100%. And I had to pull apart the sides a couple times because I misaligned them. Nature of the beast I guess. But again, for what I need the two cube piece for, it is serving it's purpose valiantly.

2nd puchase of this eco friendly storage unit!, September 6, 2010
Great product! This is our second order of this shelving storage unit and it won't be our last. They are easy to put together, secure once together and you can use them anywhere! The fact they are eco friendly is just another great reason to buy them! Plus they come in different colors. You won't be disappointed.

way basics cube, August 20, 2010
Easy to assemble and works as advertised. I used it as a shelf for a desk lamp at the entryway. Works well with the furniture and is light and recyclable if I decide I don't want it around in 3 years when I move. I reversed the reinforced backing so when looking inside there is wood grain as well, with the white surface placed against the wall. Small dent in one of the shelves but not too noticeable, otherwise ships well.

fell apart, April 20, 2010
I got this for my kids room, who are hard on things, but after be moved 2 times it fell apart. The glue became unusable. I ended up putting nails in it but that did not work well. I will not be buying something like this aging. On the plus side it was shipped fast and ez to put together.
