Good perfume, bad name
When I heard that the [then] latest Paris Hilton perfume was to be called FAIRY DUST I immediately lost all interest in it. I assumed that with a name like that Parlux were going after the tween market. I decided to spritz the tester anyway & I'm happy to admit that I was wrong.
On first application the scent is sweet. It is a fruity sweetness...

Paris Hilton Fairy Dust
This smells almost like a perfume I used in Highschool called "Heaven Scent" about a million years ago. The only thing is this is much lighter. For the cost, it is just so so. I gave it 3 stars for the bottle.I like Paris Hilton's "Just Me" much better.

When I heard that the [then] latest Paris Hilton perfume was to be called FAIRY DUST I immediately lost all interest in it. I assumed that with a name like that Parlux were going after the tween market. I decided to spritz the tester anyway & I'm happy to admit that I was wrong.
On first application the scent is sweet. It is a fruity sweetness however, not a candy sweetness. The sweetness soon fades as the floral notes in the top & heart notes develop.
I can't wear a lot of floral-heavy or patchouli-based fragrances as I suffer from migraines, but I haven't had a problem with FAIRY DUST.
The creamy base is soft & isn't actually that sweet. It goes close to the skin, so gives nice, subtle warmth to the wearer. I love this as a casual, everyday scent. It's a breath of fresh air to be able to wear a floral fragrance.
FAIRY DUST is easy for any woman to wear; my 15 year old sister used to help herself my bottle and my mother now owns my old 100ml bottle. Considering that FAIRY DUST is a light fragrance, it is surprisingly long lasting.
The price is reasonable & I love the clear bottle. I hate the name; Paris' perfume names get worse every time. It'll turn people away from trying them; a real shame as all of her fragrance releases are enjoyable.
Scent notes: Prosecco accord, pink peony, orange blossom, spring gardenia, water lily, peach nectar, sueded patchouli, cashmere musk and vanilla cream.

not quite what i thought fairy dust should smell like., July 8, 2009
The packaging is quite ugly for something Paris put her name on (very cheap looking). The scent is nice when you smell in the bottle but when it hits your skin it smells different and not very good in my opinion. This is one of those perfumes that changes on each person. So my suggestion would be try it on first and walk around for a couple hours then decide.

I'm not a big fan of Paris Hilton either, but I have to say after smelling a sample in the store I had to buy it. I have no regrets, it really has a beautiful scent.

Surprisingly good..., January 18, 2009
I purchased this item as a Christmas gift for my sister. She's not a fan of the tabloid famous crowd so this was meant to be a gag gift of sorts. She did laugh when opening the gift but was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the perfume when testing it. I'm no expert in these matters but the product must be very good to so easily overcome the often negative mystique of personality it's associated with.

geat price for a tester which only means it did not come with a cap, but who cares i only spent $18.00 for an item that sells for over $50.00 at macy's. delivery was great and received before expected. happy happy happy!!!

Fairy Dust by Paris Hilton, April 13, 2009
After smelling a sample and loveing the floral fragrance. I decided to give the Parfum a try. I am very happy with it and glad that I was able to purchase it at a very reasonable price from Amazon.com.

I'm not a Paris Hilton fan, but I smelled this perfume at the mall one day. I tested it and immediately liked it. I went back and bought it a week later and use it on a daily basis for work. I've gotten a lot of compliments wearing it and everyone always has the same "surprised" look when I tell them what it is.
It's a very pleasant light scent. It has just a touch of floral, but not overbearing and it's a clean daytime scent. The one negative I will say about it is that it doesn't last long. So when you first spray it on, if you want it to last all day, you'll have to spray on more than you usually would another type (I typically only spray 3 squirts from other perfumes, but I spray on 6 with this one). Even with 6 squirts, it's not overbearing, it's just a really pleasant scent. (One friend informed me that it's not a sexy sent, but it's very girly and perfect for daytime) I'd say this is a scent for younger ladies, my mom says it smells "cute" if that is any inclination.

Love it, July 16, 2009
I have been using this since I was in school and my mom got it for me on christmas. I have alwayse loved the smell and loved the fact that when sprayed on it is not too strong!
