Standard disclaimer for the iPhone 2G: If you don't know what you're doing, stop now. This replacement is *hard*. You will need specialized tools and a whole boatload of patience. Be absolutely comfortable that this is worth your money if you take into account the possibility of destroying your iPhone. Again, do not continue if you aren't prepared for the task...

Bad experience
The screen was damaged when I received it. The digitizer is bad and the glass cut out for the home button is too small. I was very disappointed with the product that I received.

Standard disclaimer for the iPhone 2G: If you don't know what you're doing, stop now. This replacement is *hard*. You will need specialized tools and a whole boatload of patience. Be absolutely comfortable that this is worth your money if you take into account the possibility of destroying your iPhone. Again, do not continue if you aren't prepared for the task.

That being said, the item is great and works perfectly. No dead pixels, no dead touch zones, no glitches. My only (very very minor) complaint is that pressing on the left side with a minor amount of force appears to flex the LCD, but that may be due to my install. Otherwise I'm really pleased with my purchase and it has entirely refurbished this phone so my fianc� can use it.
