I purchased this for my laptop mainly to do lightscribe labeling, my laptop is new with windows 7 when doing a lightscribe label on a lightscribe DVD it only showed half of the image, happened on more than one of the NEW dvd disks, a bad batch of disks, will let you know after I finish using these which by the way work fine on my desktop lightscribe internal DVD Drive. Writes and burns ok don't count on the lightscribe, unless I just got a bad one, too late to return, should have tried the lightscribe sooner, if you purchase one try the lightscribe right away I would suggest.
