Not listed as a refurbished item on Amazon...Not really happy, this thing will play pretty much any disc you put in it, but it makes a high pitched whine all the time! You dont really notice the whine when viewing movies, but anything at low volume and the whine is louder than the audio. I dont think its the disc drive, because when you dim the display the whine gets quieter, Not happy with Amazon, Not Happy with Tiger Direct, they know their products are not advertised properly and say it is amazons problem..By the time I got the player, it was on sale at walmart brand new, for 50 dollars more..Crappy deal, refurb, took over a week to get it , and then it whines all the time and I coulda done better..so you could probably do better to, good product its just I feel like I got hustled............
