Another good one for kids and family viewing
This is the second David Tennant/Doctor Who animated series disc, titled "Dreamland." This one comes from a BBCi (or Red Button) broadcast series of a 12-minute CGI cartoons, assembling the individual weekly bits of a Doctor Who animated adventure originally broadcast on a BBC Children's in 2008-2009. It's the first time it's been available here in the U.S. This time, The...

underwhelming
I've just seen this. The action is good, if unsuprising. It's very much what you'd expect in a David Tenant Dr Who with more action available because it's animated not live. The supporting characters are pretty cliched; wise, stoic, handy-with-arrows Native Americans, evil militaristic US Army type, plucky woman and evil alien. The animation is pretty awful though - it...

As such, it is episodic, and juvenile, rather thin on plot and fairly transparent for adult viewers. But the under-12 set will love it, and it's entertaining enough for adults, provided you're already a fan of the revamped BBC TV Series.
Non-essential Whovian programming if you're not a completist, but another cartoon Doctor Who show that's perfect for the kids and for family viewing. Four out of five stars.

A lot better than the recent ones in the series!, May 1, 2010
This review is from: Doctor Who: Dreamland (DVD)
This should have been part of the live-action series because it's way too good for a cartoon and a lot better than the recent Doctor Who adventures from the series.
Okay so maybe the animation was a little lacking, but the story was brilliant! Great plot, action-packed, and no stupid drama to get in the way. Ever wounder what it would be like if the Doctor got involved with the Roswell flying saucer crash, gray aliens, government conspiracies, and men in black? Then see "Dreamland". Trust me this is much better than "The Infinite Quest" and a lot better than the recent Whos.
Highly recommended!
