This is a case for those choosing a minimalist approach to iPhone 4 protection. If that is what you are looking for, this case does that beautifully! I don't understand a few of the previous reviews downgrading the Feather because it doesn't offer the level of protection of an Otterbox... furthermore, those comparing this case to the same one on the 3GS are overlooking the completely different geometry of the iPhone 4.

In my opinion, the Feather case for the iPhone 4 is wonderful! It protects the critical areas (corners, back, etc.) and gives a slightly "grippy" feel to the iPhone when held in my hand. Install the included screen protector and you are in business.

The Feather allows me to slip the iPhone 4 into my pocket and without bulking up the ultra-slim profile of the iPhone. I had the Feather on my 3GS and this is a worthy successor.

I read on another forum recently that early shipments of the iPhone 4 Feather had a too-small flash hole that caused unwanted reflections. Incipio is replacing these for free. Just contact them.

I have tried at least a dozen different cases for the iPhone 4 and have not been happy with any of them. So many of them are flimsy and do not fit exactly. I was not going to take a chance on this brand as I had one of their cases for the iPhone 3 and it fell apart in less than a month.

I am glad I went for it. The color is great, a really dark purple that can almost look black in poor lighting. It fits perfectly. You can almost not even notice that it is a case. It is not going to offer serious drop protection for those of you who are always letting your phones hit the ground, but for me, it is fine. I just want protection from scratches and minor bumps. I have never allowed a phone to hit the floor so I do not need serious padding.

It also solves the blocked signal problem inherent in the phone. When I first got the phone and had no case, if I held the phone on the sides, I lost 2-3 bars of signal. With this super thin, super strong shell, I no longer lose the signal.

If you are looking for a super thin, stylish shell to add a bit of protection and a lot of color to your phone for a reasonable price, this is it.

The Griffin slim-fit case I purchased was ok, but the rubber outer ring makes it difficult to slip the iphone 4 into a pocket. The clear plastic back causes lens flare/washing out of iphone flash photos.
So I tried this inexpensive case by Incipio, only learning about it online through an Amazon search. It turned out to be a good purchase. The case is smooth hard plastic. This model "Tonic" is pearl-white and as close as you can come to the white 3GS iphone look. It doesn't really ad weight or bulk to the iphone 4. Snaps into place and fits well. The large opening on the back for the flash and lens is much bigger than the Griffin case.
I was surprised to see two glossy screen protectors and a cleaning cloth in the packet.
In all honesty, the plastic screen protectors provided with this case are not the quality you'll find with PowerSupport screen protectors. That's ok, I ordered them and will replace the Incipio protector. Again, I wasn't expecting this nice little extra.
The price is right, the product seems like a good value and it looks really nice on the iphone 4. Too bad they don't carry these cases in the Apple Store... oh well, that's where Amazon comes in... doesn't it.

If you're thinking about buying this case, it's because you're looking for the thinnest and lightest case for your iPhone 4/4S. And you've found it. I scoured the internet looking for the very thinnest and lightest case I could find. One of the selling points for me on the iPhone was it's slim size and elegant design. Why hide that behind a case that makes your phone look like a monolithic slab.

If you're looking for a lot of phone protection...you may want to keep looking. This case isn't designed to provide Otterbox-level protection so don't try dropping this off your roof. In fact, I'm not so sure it would survive a fall from your slippery little hands if it were to hit some concrete in just the right way. It will provide ample protection for your phones brushed metal edges and it will protect against a few light bumps and bruises, just don't push it too hard.

Quite simply, if minimalistic design and size are important, you can't go wrong with this case.

I have had this case for less than a week and the rubbery black coating is peeling off at all of the edges. In the first two days of using the case it began to bubble at the edges, the next day it began to peel and continues to do so. I can't use my phone without getting little pieces of black paint all over my hand. I emailed Incipio when the case started to shed its paint and I have still not received a response. I have a couple friends with this case and the their cases began peeling as well. I can not recommend this case at all and I will be returning it.

*** this review is about the "clear" color.
This a very thin, clear and beautiful case. It doesn't add bulk to the phone, and hardly noticeable. Many people told me that they didn't realize I have a case on my phone.
I walked into apple store to buy a couple of iphones the other day for someone, and the lady at apple store tried to sell me cases for the new phones. I showed him mine and she was like "wow, this case is very nice..."
don't miss this!

I love the design and have gotten many compliments on it. It's nice and hard plastic unlike other people's "barely there" cases like incase, this is SOLID! Wish it was full white but the pearl white is still very cool.

The case is great except for one major problem (at least with mine): the see through model presses against the back of the case and creates an "oil on water" illusion. I added a photo to show you what I mean. Other than that glaring manufacturing oversight, the case is thin, light, and snaps on nicely. I've read that the matte versions have a problem with the paint rubbing off, and I've had that problem with other matte cases, so I guess I'm going with a dark see through model. The case fit and slimness is that good.

If you are like me then you really wanted to run your iPhone 4 without a case because it is just so beautiful of a phone. But then you realize having glass on both sides that this phone is going to get scratched up sooner rather than later so you set off looking for as thin and small a case as possible. This case is it.

This case hardly adds any noticeable girth or weight to your iPhone, leaves all the buttons and plug sockets open and easily accessible and (in the case of the pearl gray case) visually compliments the look of the phone.

I've been using this case exclusively for a few months now and have had no issues at all with it.

So why did I only give it four stars? Simple. This case is 80% cosmetic, 20% protection.

This case does a wonderful job protecting the back glass from contact scratches but I would not expect this case to protect the phone in a drop or impact at all. I tend to be very careful with my phones and have never dropped an iPhone yet (this is my third one... 2G, 3GS and 4). Yes, I am "rolling the dice" but I just don't want to encase this beautiful phone in a huge plastic life vest. So as long as you are aware that this case is for basic back scratch protection only and you want your iPhone to be as small, light and "factory" looking as possible then you will not be disappointed.

Well, at first glance I was angry about this product. It's incredibly cheap, thin and flimsy (clear plastic). I was expecting the thinness but not how flexible the plastic is, you can tell if you bend it it will explode into thin brittle shards. That being said, this case still meets my needs. I have the white 4S and I wanted the most unobtrusive shell I could find so that I could lay my phone on a table without scratching the camera lens. I never had a case on my 3G. I'm also bothered by fake buttons and blister buttons that bumpers have. This is a clear thin shell that won't be aesthetically distracting and will provide some protection against scratches.

The material is slightly less slippery than the phone glass which is nice. It has a slight lip on the front face so if the phone is accidentally set face down, not the end of the world, which I won't rely on but definitely appreciate. Downside of this lip: it has a sharp almost coarse edge. Wish they'd taken care to smooth this edge. Slide your phone around on your ear during a call and OUCH. Time will tell if this bothers me enough to stop using it. I may even take a fine sandpaper to the edge. I just feel like this is a mark of cheaper craftsmanship, its disappointing.

The large oddly-placed INCIPIO logo on the back cheapens an otherwise sleek phone, tastefully placing the logo at the bottom of the back would have been so much nicer. I know you want your brand seen but ugh it just looks tacky.

The screen protectors and cloth were a lovely bonus and appreciated. However go ahead and add screen protectors to your cart, these are too matte, instantly fuzzes and strobes your screen. Oh well.

Overall I would have expected this quality from a $5 case, I am 100% sure $25 was overpaying here. I'll go on my merry way with this case though, I love being able to see the phone itself completely, works for me.
