Whitefield is wonderful example of a man, filled with God's Spirit and driven to honor Christ in everything he did. This book is a quick read on his life, not just on his preaching and what he endured, but also includes a series of personal letters that he wrote, which allows you to see the man from behind the pulpit. If you preach or teach the way of Jesus Christ and haven't read Whitefield before, it is a must read.
