This chess set is easy to set up and very durable. We filled the bottoms with sand because we live in a windy area. They were light enough for 4 years old to lift but heavy enough to withstand the wind. Fit nicely on one foot square cement pavers that we used to make an outdoor chess board on. We are one hundred percent happy with the set.
