Why is this out of print?, December 7, 2004
This review is from: The ruin of Britain, and other works (APS)
This is an outstanding edition of Gildas. It provides both the original Latin text, as well as a well done translation. The addition of various letter fragments are icing on the cake. I have borrowed this book from the library, and would love to own it for myself.

How Can This Still be Out of Print?, March 19, 2006
This review is from: The ruin of Britain, and other works (APS)
I agree with the previous reviewer. How can this work be out-of-print? It is one of the foundational documents of our Anglo-Saxon-Christian culture. Perhaps that explains why it is out of print. Try finding anything that glorifies tradition as opposed to materials that bash it and you will come up short. Try finding a KJV Reference Bible with Apocrypha coupled with the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and you will discover the same thing. Is there a concerted effort to keep people from discovering their own traditions as opposed to the modernist wasteland? It would seem so.
