Product Description
Set up is so easy
Security for every situation
Protect Your Apps

Stop worrying about people reading your private messages when you're away from your desk at work. Never again fret about your children shopping for apps when playing with your Android at home. Keep important apps such as Gmail, games, Messages, the Amazon Appstore, Facebook, and Twitter, from unauthorized use.

With Seal you can easily protect applications with a password or a pattern. Give each application a different, complex password or an easy-to-remember pattern on a 3x3 grid. Simply select which apps you want to add to Seal to protect, and you're off!

Every Situation Is Covered

With Seal, you can group your apps into specific "Situations," such as Work, Home, Party, Bars, and more. When you activate that situation, only the apps that you want restricted at that time are locked down. Create a "work situation" to keep certain apps, such as your e-mail and text messages, locked when you are at work. Make a situation that locks mature games and Web browsers with a password when your kids want to use your phone. Add a situation for parties and clubs, just in case you're at risk of losing your phone among strangers or want to make sure you don't end up texting your ex.

It is extremely easy to enable or disable situations and keep your phone secure in any environment. If you want, you can toggle individual application protection states (green circle for protected and gray circle for unprotected). The link symbols indicate that the application is controlled by at least one situation. The more links shown next to an app, the more situations control it.

Plenty of Features

Seal also has other unique features including:

  • Integrated plug-in for Locale, Tasker, and EasyProfiles
  • Extended protection for users with rooted devices
  • Easy, worry-free use
  • Taskbar notifications with display options
  • Security question and answer to recover access

Keep nosy friends away from your apps without having to lock your phone with Seal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great app protector September 12, 2011

I recently purchased a xoom tablet and my six year old has been fascinated with it. I have a ton of apps that I don't want her messing with so this app allows me to protect apps like my email, nook app, and various other apps I don't want her to fumbling with while she is using my tablet. This is easy to use and I set it up in about 3 Minutes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool idea but so so simple to get around the security. September 12, 2011

Its a great app. However I simply went to task manager and ended the application so it was a bit disappointing. the only answer is to lock task manager too. There should be a warning in the intro to advise that.

This use to be a great app but after my phone was updated to 4.0 it no longer works, apps that should be locked do not ask for a password.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money May 22, 2012

This app was supposed to keep my 11 year old daughter from miss using her android phone. She was able to defeat the app in a matter of minutes, and looking back I should not have gotten her this phone. Plain and simple...this app does NOT work, unless your trying to keep your 2 year old off your phone. Don't waste your money! Don't buy the phone and don't buy the app!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars An Absolute Must May 24, 2012

Overall: Seal is a very solid app that provides a secondary security backup. While the lock pattern on Android and very effective (see this article on how the FBI couldn't hack into someone's Android, [...]), it is very nice to be able to protect individual apps from outside users as well. After all, should your phone be stolen, you really do want sensitive apps that have credit card information to be secure. This is where Seal comes into play. Just install it, set up a secondary password or security pattern, pick from the list of apps to secure and voila! That's it, peace of mind. Note: You should choose to secure Settings as well as other apps. As others have mentioned, if Settings are not secure, you can bypass Seal through the Task Manager.

Pros: Provides valuable and useful security for the most important apps and features on your phone. Works very quickly and unlocking allows for instant access. After using on both my phone and my tablet, I have found it to be compatible on both.

Cons: Sometimes the app likes to `hang up' so to speak and make you enter the security pattern more than once. This can be somewhat annoying, especially if your phone is older, like my Sprint Hero. Also, widgets are not secure. And, as noted by others, if an app has been accessed, picking it from the list of recently used apps completely bypasses Seal.

Most Useful Feature: Security for updated apps is enabled automatically. This means, that when the app is updated, you do not need to worry about reenabling the security pattern. The default on Seal is to setup security for all updated apps on the secure list. This is a good and bad thing in that you need to make sure that all the apps on this list need security. If they don't, take them off the list immediately because even if you uncheck the app and make it unsecure, it will be secured the next update around.
