This is a darling soup set! It is thickly made so it is very sturdy, and the color is so cheerful. The ladle and spoons lend an elegance to this practical set.

I only gave this item 2 stars because the descrpition says it will hold 80 ounces, however it does not.The Tureen only holds 6 cups (48 ounces) to the brim and if you place the ladle in the tureen with 6 cups the tureen will over flow. I ordered this item based on the fact it held atleast 80 ounces (needed for a dinner party), was sad it did not because it was a great value for the price. In my opinion this tureen will hold soup for 4 and not the as mane course but small servings as a side dish. It was well made and with the 4 small matching serving bowls and spoons it is nice, but small. If you are looking for a smaller tureen I would reccomend this product

What a beauty this tureen and bowl set is. It is the most stunning, shiny, true blue RED that I currently have in my kitchen. It is as shiny as the photo if not shinier.
It shipped quickly and well cushioned in the box. I have bought two sets. One for myself a few weeks ago and I just received my second one to give as a Christmas gift to my sister. Both sets arrived in mint condition. I lucked out and got this set on a lightning deal the first time at $29.50. Even the current price is well worth it for this set. It would make a great Christmas or anytime gift. The quality is immediately apparent upon opening the package. The ceramic has soft, curvy edges around the tureen, bowls, ladle, and spoons. Bright red and fantastic looking on the outside. A white interior on the inside of the tureen and bowls. The handles are all thick and substantial. I wouldn't expect them to snap off easily with normal use. The lid to the tureen has a little section cut out so the ladle can sit in the tureen with the lid in place. The bottom of the bowls and tureen have an unglazed ring around them. I suppose this is to make them skid proof. Even the unglazed ring has a soft feel to it, so I would not be greatly concerned about one piece scratching another when stacked just be gentle is all I would recommend. All of the pieces look and feel solidly crafted. I reheat soup in the bowls. They are microwave safe. The thick bowl handles remain cool in the microwave so they can be picked up safely without mitts. The bowl itself will heat up though so be careful not to pick it up by the underside of the bowl. Just a word about the spoons. They are rather short and thick. They add fun to the table, but some may find it cumbersome to use them. Some might find it easier to use their normal silverware especially for kids. That said, the spoons are cute and lovely red like everything else. Those of you familiar with some of my other reviews know I have a passion for red kitchen items. Pretty red dishes, pots, pans, and appliances with attractive designs are what move me. I have been wowed with Fiesta Scarlet dishes, felt all warm and fuzzy over my Hamilton Beach toaster, fallen in sweet love with my Mamma Ro sugar bowl, drank a toast to my Artland Midnight Rouge wine glasses, and been simply delighted with my a bright red Progressive International tool crock. But no other thing has slapped me silly, made me giddy, and given me satisfaction as this tureen and bowl set does. From the moment I caught sight of it as I opened the plain brown box I was grinning from ear to ear. I knew immediately it was the most stunning, glorious red thing in my possession. If orgasm was a color, it would look like the color of this set. I almost titled my review "Red Orgasm" but decide against it at the last moment. Leave me a comment if you think I should change it back, hee hee.
