A
Absolutely - the product is rated for a minimum of five years, however storing your Seed Vault at lower temps, such as in the fridge, can extend this shelf life even further on most all varieties!

Each individual seed packet has a built in heavy duty zip lock . While opening them will slightly decrease the shelf life, the ability to reseal them will help in the continuation of the long term storage. Hope this helps!

If you use only some of the seeds, how would this affect the storage life of the remainder since they are no longer sealed? Thanks

I was wondering this same thing. From their website: "The Survival Seed Vault is packaged for long term storage (5+ years)."
