Shopkick lets you combine the power of the Internet on your smartphone with the fun of going out and shopping. Now you can earn rewards and special offers simply by walking into some of your favorite stores, scanning products, and shopping with your friends. Use this app on your mobile device and flip the switch to turn your everyday "offline" stores into interactive worlds. Collect Kickbucks and bonuses at millions of stores and restaurants in America by simply checking into places around you. Best Buy, Target, Macy's, American Eagle, and Sports Authority are just some of the stores you'll find great deals at with Shopkick.
Your Personalized Shopping Assistant
Make shopping personal by keeping this app in your pocket while you shop around and find the offers that you care about with Shopkick. Eliminate the need to search through flyers and reward yourself for visiting the stores that interest you.
Socialize and Shop
Turn shopping into a fun and social sharing experience. Invite your friends to join in on the shopping with a Facebook post, e-mail, or SMS. You and your friends collect 50 Kickbucks each when they sign up with your unique promo code. Become a fan of places that you shop at and check out the Wall of Fans to see who else is shopping near you.
Check In
Find out whether you'll collect Kickbucks by tapping on the Collect screen and browsing through a list of stores. Take note of the green indicator next to eligible stores. From time to time, the number of Kickbucks you can earn may change. Sometimes you'll be able to earn a lot more Kickbucks than normal. Stay up-to-date with your app to see how many Kickbucks are available that day. If you can't find a store you're looking for, just tap on the menu button and refresh your list to ensure the GPS coordinates are current.
Scanning
The scan screen will show you products you can scan for additional Kickbucks. Collect Kickbucks by scanning products with your phone at 250,000 different stores in America. To scan an item, check in to the store with the item and then tap on it. Your phone will switch to camera mode and you can hold it over the barcode. After a few seconds, the barcode will recognize the product and put some Kickbucks in your pocket. There is a limit to how many times you can scan each product. If you've tried to scan an item a couple of times and it still doesn't work, then you may want to wait until tomorrow to continue scanning.
Offers
For a lot of offers, you'll simply click the Use it button and the offer will be ready to use. When you're ready to purchase, click the Checkout button and the phone will display the code for the cashier to enter. To use some offers, you may need to verify your phone number. Just tap on your Account Settings under the More tab and you can verify your phone number from there. You'll receive a text message with a code and a link to complete the process.
Bonuses
You can find bonuses scattered across different stores. Check in often to discover and collect bonuses, some of which come in sets. For these, you'll need to collect several bonus pieces of a set to unlock the bonus. Think of each piece as a part of a puzzle. Once you have all of the pieces, you'll have the complete picture in the form of an awesome deal. Your bonus will appear in your profile under the Me tab.
Walk into stores, scan products, earn rewards
Rewards
After you've earned a reward, you'll naturally want to redeem your Kickbucks for your prize. Tap on the Rewards tab to get started. This screen will display rewards to be purchased, highlighted in green. Just tap on the reward you want and select Redeem. Your reward will appear in the Me tab. Get cool rewards like restaurant vouchers or gift cards from Best Buy, Target, Macy's, American Eagle, and Sports Authority. Receive a range of gifts from Facebook credits and movie tickets to True Religion jeans, a Coach handbag, or a 3D 55 inch Sony Bravia HDTV. Feeling altruistic? Donate your Kickbucks to up to 30 different causes.
Profile
Take a look at your profile to see your current Shopkicker level, stuff you've collected, and specialized badges. Level up the more you use the app while shopping around. Every check in and walk-in helps you move closer to leveling up.
Where Can You Shopkick?
Collect Kickbucks just for walking into Best Buy, Macy's, American Eagle, Sports Authority, Target, Wet Seal, and major Simon malls. Shopkick is currently available in the following 18 major markets: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, Washington D.C., Houston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Seattle, and St. Louis.

Got to the points needed for the gift card and it dissappeared when I selected it.... Waste of time maybe fix this will give a different rating.

There's better than this
Who wants to drive all over the place, then have to walk all around some store just to scan items for a measly payout? That's what you do with this app. Not so good. Read more
