5.0 out of 5 stars A very SHORT LINE of history, July 19, 2008
This review is from: A short haul to the bay: A history of the Narragansett Pier Railroad, (Shortline RR series) (Paperback)
Walking and biking trails, the 2-stall roundhouse (?) in Peacedale with the nearby tiny station, the old turntable pit at West Kingston, and the Narragansett station (now a laundromat) are still with us. The book fills in the missing data to link these pieces of the puzzle together. A nice map depicts the line from it's connection with the mighty New York, New Havem and Hartford to the beautiful beaches of lower Narragansett Bay. A fine book for the history and train buff!
