was looking for a little plastic pedal trash can for in the basement to use next to litter box for scooping. Couldn't find one in the stores, so I looked on Amazon. Found this one and I was not thrilled with paying $14.95, but I was purchasing other items and this qualified for free shipping, so I jumped on it. Received it yesterday and it really is high quality construction. Much nicer than I expected and I'm very pleased with the item. I believe that I will purchase more products from this company in the future just because I was so impressed with the quality. Money well spent

Got it to keep dogs out of trash. They like to steal the kleenex for some reason and then the don't feel well or it is strewn about the house in shreds. This works perfectly so we do not need to keep the doors in the bathroom or our daughter's bedroom closed all the time.

A great product. Very compact and excellent for bathroom use. Step-lid works well. Removable inside liner with handle makes for easy emptying.

It works pretty well as trash can for a desk or bathroom, or perhaps a laundry room. Note that it is very small, so I wouldn't suggest it to be used for anything else. Cans made by simplehuman are pretty high-quality. I like the removable plastic liner. It is nice not to have to put a grocery bag in there. Overall, a good buy for those looking for a small trash can with a lid.

I have 2 cats and 2 rabbits which obviously generates a lot of litter waste. For a long time I have been tossing it in my 30 gal trash can. By the time it was full, it was always quite heavy. If it tore a hole, oh boy. On top of that our dumpster does not have a walkway so you have to hoist it over while holding the lid up at the same time.

This trash can seemed like the perfect size to use grocery bags (double-bagged since they often have a hole) and it works perfectly! It is much cheaper than pet litter disposal systems both up front and definitely in the long run. Sure, it *might* not hold the smell in as well, but it is practically full now and I can't smell a thing.

I ordered this trash can for our guest washroom and it is wonderfully doing its job. Fits perfectly between the space between the bathtub and the base of the toilet, lid opens quite smoothly and it's designed very well that the inner bin comes out with ease.

The size of the can is precisely as advertised, therefore whoever has an issue with it being too small should have read the description better before purchasing.

The top lid of this product looks cute and SMOOTH in the photo, but it's NOT.
I was disappointed when it arrived and there, in RAISED LETTERS across the top of the lid was the brand name "SIMPLEHUMAN."
How tacky! Sounds like someone with a low IQ.
It's not made 'for show' in any place where it can be seen.
The Product Description does not give one word of warning about their advertisement on top of the lid.
I suppose it would be ok if you were planning to hide it under a sink, but I wasn't.
It immediately went back for a refund. Buyer beware.

That's what I use it for. Only the lid won't stay-up. I use a rubber door stop to wedge the lever during dinner prep.

Until I found these lovely little trash cans, I had been denying my guests and myself the convenience of a waste basket in our bathrooms, because my dogs are obsessed with shredding and spreading whatever is placed in such a basket. Voila, the solution! Attractive, inexpensive, efficient, neat--these simplehuman containers are the perfect size, shape, and function. If one can love a trash can, I love these!

Cute shape and size. Very flimsy. Guess I shouldn't have expected more for the money.
