This review is from: simplehuman Press N Tear Paper Towel Holder, Stainless Steel (Kitchen)
This counter-top paper towel holder is wonderful. It is heavy enough that you can tear off a sheet and it doesn't slide all over the counter knocking things over or just unravelling the roll of paper towels. The Press-n-tear feature works great, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a counter-top paper towel holder.

Really good towel holder/dispenser, if you want something to sit on the counter near at hand. Its heavy enough to not topple when you pull, plus the push knob at the top stops the roll from spinning off too many panels.

simplehuman Press N Tear Towel Holder,

This review is from: simplehuman Press N Tear Paper Towel Holder, Stainless Steel (Kitchen)
I used a wall mounted towel plastic holder for years until one day it broke. I decided to replace it with a counter top model because the wall mounted one had a nasty habit of letting the towel roll fall to the floor if the pull on the towel wasn't executed properly. After an internet search my choices narrowed to between the simplehuman Press N Tear and the Kamenstein Perfect Tear. I couldn't decide between the two, so I bought one of each, put one in the kitchen and the other in a bathroom. They both are much better than the previous wall mounted holder - I would never go back to that type. Both are essentially equal in performance in my opinion. Both have a heavy base which allows a one handed pull to tear a single sheet of towel from the holder, but the internal resistance design of the Kamenstein gives it a slight advantage in this respect when the roll gets down to the last few sheets. I prefer the polished stainless steel simplehuman with its little rail around the bottom for looks, and would buy it again for this reason.
