I used to have literally hundreds of plastic grocery bags in my kitchen, stuffed into an even bigger grocery bag. (I use about a bag a day to collect and dispose of the waste in my cats' litter box.) I have been upgrading my kitchen and apartment, and decided I needed a more streamlined, attractive way to deal with the bags.

I was optimistic about this device, but it's not a perfect solution. I didn't count the bags I put in, but it does seem to hold a lot. However, I haven't yet determined the best way to insert the bags so that when I pull one out of the dispenser, I don't end up with several at a time. Also, taking out a bag is not always simple -- sometimes a bag comes out easily, other times I really have to wrestle with it.

In addition, my bag holder arrived partially disassembled. There are three main parts to the holder -- the black plastic bottom, the black plastic top piece, and the rounded stainless steel sides. One of the tabs that ensured that the black top was securely installed was not popped in -- consequently, the steel sides were not held in place by the top, so sharp edges were exposed. And they are sharp!

Fortunately, I was able to unscrew the black top, reinstall it so all the tabs were in place, and squeeze the metal sides back into place so the edges were covered. However, remedying this was a rather unpleasant experience, although I am pleased that it was remedy-able at all!

Overall, a good solution, but not a great one.

I bought this product two years ago at Bed Bath & Beyond. I use it all the time and it still looks brand new.

Before I put a bag in, I wrap it around two of my fingers (until I have a ball) and tuck the end in when I'm finished. Then, I stick the bag in the top hole. I never have any trouble removing one bag at a time from the front slot. I think this is because I ball up each bag first. I only mention this because other reviewers have stated they can't get the bags out and/or can't remove just one at a time. It's not rocket science. This is a great, well engineered product. A+

While I'm a firm believer that everything has it's place, I believe that my wife came up with a better/cheaper alternative than simplehuman. Empty Kleenex or tissue dispensers work perfectly. Only one bag comes out at a time, and they come in enough sizes/colors/patterns to match any decor.

I bought this off Amazon and have been very pleased. Unlike the last reviewer mine came assembled and there have been no problems. We have a dog and go through about 2-3 bags a day and can also collect quite a few from shopping and friends, the thing does hold a lot, also not quite sure of how many, but have stuffed it full--maybe 40+. But since we use it for our dog being too full or at capacity is never a problem for long.

I haven't had much of a problem removing bags, if you put them in the round hole and remove from the larger opening it is pretty easy, only difficult when you start to run low and have to reach in to pull one out. I usually only get one at a time unless it is super full. The size is perfect for our corner table by the door and takes up so much less space than all our bags stuffed into one larger bag. I think it is well worth the money if you have a pet where plastic bags play a big part of clean-up and contribute to daily clutter.

I really needed something to corral all the loose plastic grocery bags I had. I researched different options. I finally ended up at the Container store (which is a totally awesome place). They had like 8 different options. This one was by far the coolest and neatest looking one (albeit also the most expensive). But, I figured I'm going to use it all the time, probably for the rest of my life, so, might as well spend the extra few bucks now and get something I won't mind looking at. Plus, it matches the simple human trashcan I already had. When I got it home, I was amazed, it fit so many bags. It is like one of those clown cars. I didn't count them, but I would estimate that I probably stuffed close to 100 plastic bags into it. So, glad I bought it. P.S. Despite what other reviews have said, mine does not have any sharp edges and it does not hurt me to stuff bags in or to take them out. I don't know what they are talking about. So, go ahead and buy this product. You will not regret it.

I love the quality and size of the item. It holds many, many plastic bags. It gave me the ability to reclaim an entire kitchen drawer which used to be OVERFLOWING with grocery store bags. Now they all fit neatly under the kitchen sink inside an easy-access container. Highly recommended for the "neat" person in your life!

It's about the size of a box of cereal and hold a lot of plastic grocery sacks, is as well built as all the other Simple Human products we have purchased, study plastic and stainless steel construction - it looks nice while doing its job, highly recommend!

Just what I was hoping for! The bags I had hidden all over my kitchen are now neatly organized and accessible. I was able to fit over 70 bags in this neat little container!

Where has this thing been? Like most people we get alot of plastic bags after any shopping trips. We have stored these things every way imaginable & still were not happy with the results,until now. This simple holder holds a ton of plastic bags until you take them back to the store or find another use for them.
